An exceptional service-oriented couple run this boutique hotel overlooking one of the most picturesque canals in Harlingen. It’s rare in Europe to find a breakfast buffet that offers quality cured meats as well as cheeses with an assortment of fresh breads. The hotel is well situated and is by far one of the best in Harlingen. Rooms are a bit unique but offer the authenticity of a Dutch home.

The restaurant offers excellent dining choices in the evening in the formal side and an adjoining pub style of bar for convivial moments.

It’s great to book your bike through the hotel and the team do absolutely everything possible to put client’s stay first.

This hotel is excellent and we stayed in a large room facing south and overlooking a canal full of sailing vessels. The bathroom was modern and excellent with a walk-in shower-room. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a very good restaurant with a very acceptable menu (the soups were delicious as was everything else we tried). The bar is definitely worth a visit and there is a good selection of beers etc. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to take advantage of sitting outside with a beer or coffee on occasion. There is plenty of parking space outside the hotel at Euro 2 per day and tickets are available from the hotel. The breakfasts were good with an excellent choice continental foods and we were offered eggs (scrambled or fried) and bacon each morning. Everybody associated with the hotel were fantastic and extremely polite and helpful, so what more could you want? There are no lifts and the stairs are rather steep. That is the only downside and that is considered to be a very minor point as far as we were concerned. Harlingen is a lovely and busy port and Hotel Anna Casparii is a lovely place to stay.

Room tip: Rooms facing the canal are also facing south and catch the sun.

A group of 8 of us stayed here whilst cycling in Friesland. It is a lovely, picturesque hotel with excellent amenities and a wonderful restaurant. They had plenty of storage for our bikes at the back and it was so nice to sit out the front overlooking the water and relax. The staff were so friendly, especially Vincent, the owner who couldn't do enough and had a great sense of humour. Highly recommended

Room tip: The rooms at the front are great with a view over the water. We had room 7

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is perfect. The staff (Nanda & Frank) could not have been more accommodating and friendly. We came in the heat wave. A fan in the room would have made it more bearable.
