We had four nights here and felt that the excellent reviews did not match the experience.
This is not a hotel, as we were immediately told when asking if we could leave luggage outside of the check-in time. It is locked shut between 12,00 and 2.00pm. It is a B&B with only 5 bedrooms and does not offer the luxury services the cost implies.
Our room was on the ground floor with a small window into an internal courtyard. It had net curtains but all lights had to be on to use the room, so then the curtains had to be closed. With only fans to cool the room it soon got hot, but when we opened the window we had someone put their head all the way through and stare in. Clearly we were unlucky, but the window could not be securely part-opened, so we always felt hot in gloomy surroundings
The bathroom was reasonable, but in no way luxurious. The tile grout needed bleaching, the toilet seat did not fit properly, the shower was not thermostatic and was poorly affixed.
The bedroom had nice furniture, but it needed refurbishing. Almost all the upstairs open-air terrace furniture needed refurbishment.
The front of the 'hotel' looks more like the rear, but has an inner steel gate for security that needs a key to open, even from the inside. I saw no emergency lighting or fire sensors so in the event of an emegency I would be concerned for the occupants.
We did not eat here as the lure of the bakeries and cafes for breakfast was too great and the local restauarnts for lunch and dinner were very good too.
All that said, the bed was huge and comfortable, the two people we met running it were charming and the position is perfect. We just needed a much lower expectation.
