Recently returned from a wonderful holiday in the Mas. Everything about this place was great, including the relaxed welcome by Ina. We stayed in the wooden caravan in the beautiful grounds, it was surprisingly spacious with a comfortable normal sized double bed, a sofa/seating area, ample kitchenette with hob/fridge/kettle etc, and its own shower/toilet etc. There was even air conditioning. I was a little worried it would be cramped but not at all.
The gardens are really special - day beds and loungers dotted all over the place with scatter cushions and quilts to make them comfortable, a lovely pool, outside hot tub, hammock. The house is quite close to a main road - you can't see it but you can hear the traffic in the distance, but this is just a small niggle. And with the fountains on outside and the sound of tinkling water you soon forget. We had breakfast and dinner every day in the garden in front of the main house. Thomas is an excellent cook, and we really enjoyed the surprise of not knowing what we'd get each evening. If you are a fussy eater you might struggle here, because there is no choice. But everything we had was delicious.
The location is great too - just 30 mins drive from Avignon, and then lots of places to visit within short drives. Fountain des Vacluse is only 10mins away (you have to visit here, it's gorgeous), Isle sur la Sorgue is as close and full of lovely little shops (be warned all the antique shops open only on Thursday - Sunday but still lots to see and buy!), Rousillon is a pretty hilltop town and we happened upon their Thursday morning market by chance. My fave place was Loumarin which Ina recommended to us - it's a bit of a twisty turny drive of about 45mins through Bonnieux but worth it to visit the wonderful Friday morning market.
All in all a great introduction to Provence and highly recommended.

We'd heard about Mas du Grand Jonquier from a friend of a friend, and it turns out this is how many visitors find out about this gem of a place: Word is bound to get around.

We stayed in their roulotte, which meant we were right there in the lush green of their large garden grounds. These include a pool, a rectangle for playing boule, and you'll occasionally come across a hammock or even a bed/sofa under a canopy inviting you to just relax, read or even have an outdoor nap. That being said, this place is also in a good spot to go exploring (Avignon, Mont Ventoux, Fontaine de Vaucluse etc).

Breakfast is about as good as it gets. Various jams and honey, different bits of cheese, fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt every day, as well as a bread basket far beyond the ususal "piece of baguette and a croissant if you're lucky"  routine. Add to that the landlady coming round with coffee suggesting seconds, offering ideas for what to do during the day, and you get the idea.

On three nights we opted for the set-meal dinner at their table d'hôte (you couldn't have a meal this opulent every day), made from the morning's market purchases. This was consistently delicious, and we particularly liked that one of us also got a vegetarian version that was just as good and creatively cooked.

We hope to be back one time and will make sure to spread the word!

I just have good things to tell about this place! The food is delicious! I had dinner in the Hotel, the price is fair and the food was perfect. They have a lot of activities, like petanque, garden chess, table tennis, swimming pool. The owners love to give tips about the villages around the hotel.

Room Tip: We occupied 3 bedrooms, they are very different, but each one has positive aspects. For example, if you want to use internet, the bedroom inside the house has better reception. One of the bedrooms located outside has a big shower... But all of them are very nice.
