Thomas Cook reps were very helpful, as were the cleaning staff, and the male reception staff. However, the female manager on the front desk was incredibly rude and purposefully went out of her way to not be helpful to all hotel guests!

The hotel was poor because there was an ant's nest in the room, the shower was cold more often than not, the shower head attachment to the wall was broken, the sink was loose, the room only had sheets and was missing blankets as advertised, towels were only changed once in our whole stay, the air-conditioning unit was broken and leaked water constantly, and the room door did not lock properly (a gentle budge opened the door from the outside).

One of my main complaints was a lack of secure storage for baggage upon checkout. The rude woman on the front desk told us that the only baggage store available was outside the front of the hotel on the street, with no-one watching over the bags. We asked her why and she just shrugged rudely at us, then swiftly told us to go out of the hotel with our bags as we were no longer checked into the hotel. We had to checkout at 12pm, but our coach was picking us up at 10.30pm, we had to look after our bags for 10 hours outside in 30 degree heat.

I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again. There are far better places nearby where you can get a better deal for your money. Avoid this place at all costs.

Room Tip: Don't go for the cheapest room (just like the Inbetweener's movie). Though the higher costs rooms are not much difference in quality!

We were not expecting anything great as the accommodation that we have had before (18-30's) has left a lot to be desired.

However arriving here in the early hours of the morning we were greeted by the reps in the stunning reception, they immediately took us to our rooms - I was pleasantly surprised, our rooms were clean, modern & very spacious. What else could you
want ? (we were on the first floor and visited the rooms on the third floor which were not so nice) Our baloney was huge - great for pre drinks. The only thing I would say is the curtain does not keep the sunlight out not good if you are just home at sunrise.

The pool was always clean and tidy with the 24 hour bar always happy to serve you :) The breakfast's are nice also, if you cant be bothered going to the strip or still drunk lol.

The reps were great - always around if you have any concerns or just for a general chit chat (Lauren hehe). They will do their best to get you involved. They can be pushy to try and get you to buy events, so learn to say NO if your not sure - the events are on everyday if you want to go.

The strip in literally 5mins walk away, not far and I am a lazy as ..

The security man at night is lovely and happy to do anything for you, Anna can be moody or nice depending on the way the wind is blowing. The Wi Fi is not free which is mad and will cost you 2 euro per hour - I asked about a weekly deal but his was not an option.

We had a great time in Malia and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pretty much just a place to crash. Tiny room had no kettle and you had to buy your own loo roll. Very basic but had the best bar staff ive ever met. Perfect for a cheap drunken holiday. At our time of visit for my 21st birthday we were the oldest people there as it was full of 17 year old big groups of lads but the distance from the strip was perfect only a few minutes walk.

The hotel itself was modern, clean and had everything you need throughout the day. The pool was always kept clean, as was the area surrounding it. The hotel bar staff couldn't have been friendlier. Drinks and food wasn't the cheapest and they didnt allow you to bring drinks into the pool area which weren't theirs. The rooms, we were on the second floor and the rooms were standard, cleaners came every day which was nice, never changed the sheets! However we went into a room which was on the first floor and it was unreal, obviously just done out and was so much nicer and more modern. Which wasn't very fair as we paid the same! The reps, well as everyone knows they want to push the events on you as soon as you arrive then the big reunion, they made the point that club entry was expensive ans the package made that cheaper, however due to organisation of the reps we ended up being late or even missing events we had paid for. They were however the loveliest of people and always made an effort to make you feel welcome and help whenever possible. You could tell they felt overwhelmed when it came to new arrivals day which was annoying because they were no where to been seen! Nick and Nicky were the best ! Recommend to go to the watercity water park! only 35 euros including transfers and was such good fun! The strip is like 3 minute walk, yet cant hear the noise at all which helps for sleeping. The hotel had some funny rules though, couldn't be on the balcony past half 11 with other people. Assuming to stop people pre drinking and to spend more money at the bar. Also, you have to bring you own toilet roll which we didnt realise, get given like two at the beginning. The hotel manager was quite rude about it when we asked for more! All in all would recommend the hotel perfect for what you came for, a place to stay during the day and pre drink at the night!

Came here mid-August with a group of boys, hotel was pretty cheap so we were not expecting anything great and the rooms were fairly basic. The rooms were clean and had everything you need but important to watch out for extra costs like air conditioning and high fees for damages. On my first night at Hermes I was stripped naked and showered by two Israeli men. This came at a cost of €25 per Israeli. The staff were nice and were on hand at the bar or reception to resolve any issues. Not bad value for price
