This hotel is a must if you want to visit the Amalfi Coast but do not have the budget to stay in Sorrento itself. We stayed here for 3 nights and arrived via the Circumvesuviana train from Pompeii. The Piano di Sorrento station is around 10-15 minutes walk away along one street (the pavements can be quite narrow which makes this a more difficult walk with bags, not to mention hot!).
Checking in was extremely easy - the staff were incredibly polite and spoke very good English. They talked us through the local area, how to travel into Sorrento etc. The room was clean and bright, with a big bathroom, comfortable bed and superb AC which we were more than thankful for every time we returned to it. The minibar was well-stocked - however not often needed as there was a useful corner shop just down the street which sold everything we needed.
Breakfast was served in the area adjoining the reception desk and was more than enough for us. A continental breakfast was always available as well as a small selection of sausages, bacon, eggs etc.
There is a great pizzeria next door that we highly recommend you try! All in all a superbly run hotel that offered huge value for money as an alternative to spending a fortune on a hotel in central Sorrento, Would highly recommend to everyone.More
