The botanical garden itself is big and beautiful, but unfortunately many cacti had not flourished in the beginning of May; for that, the afternoon in the park was very calm and we were the only guests, the park itself is lumbering 25000 square meters, and besides cacti there is also a palm tree and other parts of shrubs and trees , the park itself is well-maintained and many beautiful powerful cacti. You can also buy a small roof from your souvenir shop for 1-4 euros later, as I did :) I am sure to visit it for sure, in a beautiful weather, have a nice walk and take a few hours to go.

We took the drive from Port de Pollenca down here to see the cactus garden. And it Was worth the drive. Funny to see all the different species. One wish could be a little more info about the different cactus. But all in all worth the drive and the money.

We visited in April, and of course we didn't expect that the garden would be in full flower, but we did expect a proper map showing the zones of the garden, plants properly labelled, places to sit down, and a well-maintained garden. We found the planting rather unimaginative and there was no under-planting which would have contrasted with the cacti. Maintenance work is overdue in some places. We found the ticket price too high for what was on offer and unless you are a true cactus enthusiast, it's not worth going. Disappointing for a general garden enthusiast at this time of year. It could be better in summer.

While exploring the southern part of the island, we stopped to visit Botanicactus....a very special botanical garden mainly devoted cacti and various other succulents collected from all over the world. Plan on spending a couple of hours touring the grounds. The plants are in such great condition...it must be a labor of love for those who care for the place.
