We were here the evening before, but it was all booked in respect of tables for diner. We came back the next evening. we enjoyed the place, the ford. The lamb was perfect, the serloin steak was also good. The sticky toffe pudding to die for.

We called in for a meal last night and it was brilliant. The chicken balti was delicious & plentiful & the faggots which my husband had, he said they were the best ever. Lovely staff, good service all round.

We went for an evening bar meal. We hadn't booked and weren't sure what to expect. The goodness starts when you enter through a centuries old doorway. You also know you're somewhere good when there are tractors in the car park and the local farmers are in the bar.

The landlord and landlady were welcoming, friendly and happy. The inn itself is old with nooks and crannies within nooks and crannies. So you can be as secluded or as in the thick of it as you want to be. Brilliant.

We asked for a bar meal (they have a restaurant part too). Good bar menu with proper homemade food and a good specials board. Lots of local flavours from high quality ingredients on there too.

Food was superb.
Beer was excellent.
Atmosphere was great.

Could not fault the Rhydspence Inn. Will definitely return and will recommend to all our friends. Really, this is how a pub should be.

Among the best places I have ever stayed at. Big beautiful rooms and bathrooms. All perfectly clean, lovely quirky old house. Helpful and friendly staff. Well cooked breakfast. I can't ask for more, really.

I stayed during the Hay Festival and found the facilities excellent. There are less than a dozen rooms. I was given a double bed with en suite bath that had all the necessary conveniences, including WiFi, TV and basic amenities. We had lunch as well and the food was more than adequate.
