Beautiful building in a typically old England village. Rooms were comfortable, food was tasty and well presented and staff were friendly and helpful - and will definitely be returning! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was lovely with lots of charm. Our room (suite) was up a set of narrow stairs but lovely to stay in. Lots of beams - a bit like being in a cottage. Food in restaurant was excellent, we ate off both menus, with good service. Added bonus of the trip was tickets for a local tourist attraction. We took the Oxford bus trip - well worth doing. Overall a great short break.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. It is in the quiet village of Dorchester on Thames. It is a short walk from the river Thame and river Thames. It is ideal for a relaxing retreat. The village has a couple of hotels and a Coop store but not much else.
There is also Dorchester Abbey which is steeped in history.
The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very busy Saturday night but quiet on Sunday. They had a market menu which was £18 for 2 courses or £23 for 3 courses which had a choice of 3 or 4 choices per course.
You could also choose from the A la care menu which was very nice.
All the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome.
There is a car park at rear of the hotel so parking is not a problem.
Blenheim Palace is about 30 minutes away and well worth a visit.
Oxford is also nearby.
We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Although this hotel is situated on the high street, there is not much through traffic so the noise from the road is not a problem.

Room lovely very clean, nice bathroom with double sinks, hotel first class. We had a room in a cottage in the grounds. We had a deal which included dinner, bed & breakfast. Food was excellent and great atmosphere in the restaurant.

My husband and I chose this hotel to stay with family and friends for our daughters wedding in a nearby village. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome the manager went out of his way to make sure all the family rooms were suitable for our mother and sister who had recently undergone hip replacements. We had a suite in a separate building which was a lovely retreat from all the wedding preparations.Breakfast was cooked very well with many choices and we would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. We may return to explore the area in the future as the wedding kept us rather busy this time.
