Truly great views from this B&B which is so close to the sea. A fascinating old house full of character. Car parking is on the road but we enjoyed secure bike parking in the garden shed. Nothing was too much trouble. It is a short walk into the centre for hotel meals. A memorable place to stay.

Room Tip: You have to get a sea view it is so good. Access is up a steep narrow path to the house, so not su...

So glad you enjoyed our spectacular views across Loch Fyne from the dining room for full Scottish breakfast and from your room. Dunivaig B & B was built in Edwardian times and rumour has it that it was an old sea captain who designed the house. Guests can park their cars opposite the house for off street parking on Pier road, which is a quiet no through road. We welcome cyclists, can store their bikes in our lockable bike shed & we have drying facilities just in case of the odd shower or two! One day in the near future we hope we can host you again, happy cycling from Louise & Peter.

It was a very comfortable room. Shared bathroom was well appointed. Our lovely hosts added a yummy cooked breakfast which was a surprise treat! Good instructions made it easy to find after our late ferry trip.

Our room in this lovely B&B Had spectacular views of Loch Fyne. The fact that it is 20 minutes out of town is a plus - it is quiet, and it got us on our feet enjoying all that Tarbert has to offer- lovely views, charming cottages and gardens, great meals, Tarbert Castle to name just a few. Louise made us a very generous packed breakfast for our early ferry - it was time to depart all too soon. I would highly recommend it, except perhaps for anyone with mobility difficulties.

What a great surprise to receive such a lovely review of our Dunivaig B & B in Tarbert by Loch Fyne after your brief overnight stay with us in early May. We have been so lucky with the weather this May, sun, sun, sun. Our packed breakfasts to go are very popular with our early morning ferry passengers, which you can eat any time of the day. Right now as I respond to your review I can see across the Loch and watch the yachts return to Tarbert's natural harbour from the Scottish Series Yacht Races during the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May as the dolphins swim alongside the boats. We are so pleased you would highly recommend our 3 room B & B and hope we can host you in the near future.

We spent three nights at the Dunivaig during our visit to the Argill area. The B&B is a little less than a mile from the downtown area featuring several pubs and restaurants. The room was extremely quiet and we had a fine view of the water. They serve a fine breakfast, including smoked kippers. A fine place to stay.

Room Tip: Upstairs room overlooking the water.

Thank you so much for your lovely review of our cosy 3 room Dunivaig B & B which overlooks the sea Loch Fyne on the Kintyre peninsula. We are not far from the shops and the castle in the village and near the restaurants that serve the tasty local sea food in Tarbert. Glad you enjoyed the local oak smoked kippers along with our Scottish continental style breakfast.
Peter and I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a positive informative review. We hope we can host you again in the near future.

I had to work in the Argyll area and coming back to the Dunivaig after a long hard day was always a warm and comforting experience. The rooms were comfy with gorgeous views, very good facilities and very clean. Lovely breakfast too. The best feature of the Dunivaig for me was the hospitality and kindness of Louise, Peter and the rest of the family who welcomed me with open arms and helped me feel at home in Tarbert. Fudge the cat also made me feel welcome too :) Overall, a beautiful and lovely place to stay. Thank you! Lena x

Room Tip: Go for the King room. Best views, I once saw a seal from there!!!
