We had a family get together. It was very roomy with a nice lay out and plenty of parking. The owners were very helpful when we reported a problem with the light bulbs.
The only problem we had was there was no where to put wet boots and coats. There was coat hooks in the loo, but we no longer live in the dark ages if you know what I mean.

I stayed here as part of a friend's stag do and the accommodation really is very impressive. There is so much space and there were no issues fitting in the 16 of us. Everything is provided even towels and the owners were very friendly, on hand to help with any issues. It is in a truly impressive location and if your wanting a good space in a quiet location then its perfect. The barn itself is well equipped with wifi and Freesat all available (extra cost for wifi). I would certainly recommend it for a return trip to this part of Wales.

This review is for Quarry Cottage and not the B&B which I am not sure still exists as the ownership has changed within the last year.
Stayed here with Friends and we all were very happy with the cottage, the location and the friendliness of the hosts.
The cottage itself is very tranquil – set in the 13 acreage of grounds which you are free to roam at your leisure. To the rear of the cottage is a patio area overlooking a very picturesque trout pond (fishing is allowed). Another patio area with seating, lighting and gazebo is available across the pond if needed. The owners also have Alpacas, Goats and Shetland ponies on site.
All expected facilities are available – cooking, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, iron & BBQ. Bed linen, towels etc. are provided. A small amount of essentials like toilet paper, dishwasher tablets etc. are also provided but any extras will need to be supplied by you but this is pretty standard for self-catering cottages.
The owners themselves are very helpful – we had a problem with the Wi-Fi following a storm and the owner did not hesitate in coming round to reset everything and get it back up and running.
The location of the cottage is ideal for anyone wanting peace and tranquillity as that is what you get. There isn’t a lot of amenities in this area unlike the coastal regions or in Snowdonia etc. but this isn’t everyone’s ideal.

We booked the large barn conversion for my hen do, it was absolutely fantastic. The owners are very accommodating and very helpful with booking you in.

The accommodation is superbly set up with great facilities, really wonderfully set up for large gatherings, Tesco delivers to the barns which makes for easy food arrangements, the takeaways in Newtown are 5-10 minutes drive away.

The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, cafetieres, kettles, toasters, pots pans etc..... The bathrooms are excellent really powerful showers and the furniture doesn't feel cheap throughout, so you certainly don't feel like you are in a hostel!

My only other comment, and it honestly isn't a grumble, is the mattresses were slightly uncomfortable but it honestly did not detract from the stay and i would strongly recommend the place.

Room Tip: we split the building so the rooms under the dining room were quieter, with late night socialisers s...
