The beach and pool are great here but this is not Costa Rica.If you are looking for a peaceful, calm surrounded by wildflie vacation your are looking at the wrong place. I did not come here to hear ATV, motorcylces and traffic everytime I went to our cabin. The set-up has great potential but the room locations right by the road are horrendous. It would be so much better if it was closer to the beaches. We actually had to ask for our money back and skip out a day earlier because we did not like this town or location. This is a surfing, hippie town that's overpriced and has chased out all of the locals. There is no Costa Ricans left here and the town has been wrecked in our opinion. There were no fruit stands or locals selling anything just some people selling overpriced wilted fruits and vegetables that people were going crazy for.Beaches are great for surfing and the views are amazing but the town and rooms ruin it.
Next time we will keep driving past this town and not look back. There are so many other places in Costa Roca that offer more.

Room Tip: Any rooms closer to the beach are better. Top floors are better as you hear every footstep above if...

You won't find a better "beach" experience in Santa teresa!! Great food, amazing clean beach, beautiful sunsets, live entertainment and delicious 2x1 drinks.
The pool is nice and relaxing and a good alternative to get out out the salt water. Clean however leaves do fall regularly from the trees into the pool. No biggie.
The Lula bungalow needs some updates to kitchenette, shower and roof as it leaked in rain storm. Risk of theft if leaving your things out. We had our shorts stolen. Value is not great as the rooms are over prices substantially. A great location to stay a couple days but not long term or even just spending the day or evening having drinks and taking in the sun.
3/5.

nice.
There are 3 types of rooms.
The place itself is very expensive in my opinion- No value for the money.
The hotel has a pool - very dirty !!

The place sits on the beach and has a private restaurant and bar, the hotel's beach has the most beautiful sunset Useable experience !!!
You can get there even if you do not sleep at the hotel.

If you are looking for accomodations by the beach, but still want to be within arms length of the main part of town, restaurants, etc, then this is the place to stay. Book in advance, as this place seems to always be full for the most part. Basically the property is divided into tiny lots, with each lot having a two floor cabin. You'll have your own little yard and everything with a hammock, porch, etc.
The rooms are clean, convenient and cabin-like, they even have coffee makers! Walking towards the beach, you will first walk through the pool area, and then on to the beach bar and ocean. It really has all you could ask for in one location. The girl who works the front desk, Sam, is a sweetheart as well. Very kind and helpful, and speaks perfect english.

Room Tip: Try to get a 2nd floor room, they are a little smaller in size, but have a cool wood-finished interi...
