Park Eden Bed & Beakfast
Reviewed 19 March 2015

Upon arriving in El Valle we immediately saw signs directing us to Park Eden. It was fairly easy to locate and we were pleased with the settings around this B&B. So we went inside to see if they had a vacancy…

As luck would have it the Linda Vista House was available that night. It was actually less expensive renting the house than it would have been renting two rooms of the same quality.

The owners, John and Deb, just happen to be in residence on the day we arrived there. They are a very charming couple and I hope you are as fortunate as we were to be able to spend some time with them!

We were in a hurry to get out and explore the local community or I would have spent the entire afternoon talking with them. They even offered to make dinner reservations for us.

The Linda Vista House has two private bedrooms with a shared bathroom. There is also a second bathroom downstairs by the kitchen. The house was well furnished and very comfortable. It was a shame that we would only be spending one night there.

The grounds of Park Eden are very well maintained. We were very surprised at how huge their property is.

Breakfast was served outside under a canopy. The food was excellent and their kitchen staff was friendly and cordial. (John and Deb also came out to say good morning to us.)

Park Eden also has other rooms: La Casita, Los Limoneros, La Vie en Rose, Suite Tucán, and Suite Colibrí.

Treat yourself (and your wife and family) to a beautiful hideaway, if you are spending some time in El Valle, by staying here at Park Eden…

Buen viaje,
Panama Vagabond

Room Tip: Linda Vista is great for a family needing two bedrooms.

This b&b has beautiful grounds and was very relaxing. We did not have a car and wanted to be able to walk from town. The map they had was somehow very confusing so as a minor point - it would be great to have a good map for those of us who like to walk. We were very glad to find out that the very close by hotel serves dinner so we did not have to walk or cab back into town. The other issue is that the owners were not there. The web site makes it sound like someone who spoke English would be there. We were ok since my partner speaks Spanish but it would have been a bit difficult otherwise as the people there did not seem to have any English. The breakfast was great and we saw a lot of birds.

This small B&B establishment set in landscaped natural gardens is the epitome of tranquility only 2 hours away from the hustle and bustle of Panama City and it's environs. We stayed in La Casita and for 2 nights it provided us with a comfortable bed, adequate furnishings and all mod cons including a 24 hour hot water and an excellent shower. WiFi available in the garden and lounge area of the main house/office area. Our breakfast consisting of juice, coffee, cereal, eggs and a choice of breads was served outside in the garden and all tasted good while we watched with fascination, the hummingbirds fighting over which feeder to drink from for their breakfast. Hammocks to laze in later in the day - for guests, not hummingbirds!

Just a couple of minor lows - the hotel owners were away so we missed out meeting this lovely couple who everyone makes very favorable remarks about. Instead we had a rather dour couple who spoke very little English but no doubt held in high esteem by the owners as they were left in charge. No one else staying at the Park Eden so very, very quiet. Having said all of the above I can recommend this unique hidden beauty.

Hello JaxxC,
Golly, thank you ever so much for your kind words and thoughts concerning your stay at our Park Eden B&B.
We now have 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Minding this, paying our dues and some medical care, we sometimes, no planning, have to go to Panama City for a couple of days, or so. We feel real bad that this coincided with your staying here. Please accept our sincerest apologize.
Concerning the help, the staff of three are all locals, they speak very little English and are not very sociable as we consistently tries to impose onto them. They worked for many years with us because they are honest and do their jobs well. At any rate, we embrace better times with acquiring better help. Again, thank you kindly for your sincere thoughts.
Very Cordially Yours, Monica M. Aleman.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Calm, Serene, saw Blue Mott Motts and hummingbirds and many more. We hope to be back next year for a longer Stay. What a treat !!!!
We enjoyed walking around the place, the wonderful breakfast and the kitchenette was perfect for the two of us to cook a little for ourselves. There is a new grocery store on the way in so it all worked so well. The restaurants in town are good too!

Room Tip: Wifi is available in the covered outdoor breakfast area and reception area.

My husband and I now reside in Panama as of this year. Prior to moving to Panama, we travelled the country extensively to find the perfect place for us to settle. We made our first visit to El Valle in 2004 on our honeymoon and loved El Valle (and its owners, Monica and Lionel ) and its surrounding areas. Park Eden is exactly as it name implies. I am originally a Victoria , Canada girl where the world famous Buchard Gardens are located. One look at the grounds at Park Eden and I felt I was at home. Park Eden's fabulously beautiful grounds are like Buchard Gardens on a small scale and one never tires of short walks around the grounds to admire, smell and photograph the variety of beautiful vegetation.
The accommodations are lovely, well thought out, clean , beautifully maintained, and are situated in a quiet, peaceful, romantic setting.
A delicious breakfast is served every morning at 9 A.M. and is a tasty combination of fresh fruit , eggs and some traditional Panamanian treats that are served by staff that are polite and agreeable.
Monica and Lionel go out of their way to ensure that every need is met and are a wealth of information about El Valle and all of the fun things you can find to do in the area. You are treated like family.
On every trip we have made to Panama after 2004, we have made sure that Park Eden was part of our itinerary and we have delighted in taking friends along with us on a few of these vacations and they have loved it as well.
Now that we are settled in Panama City, Park Eden remains a place for us to go for a "get away" from the city. Over the 10 years that we have been going to Park Eden, we always find the same exceptional standards of service and strongly recommend that anyone visiting Panama (or anyone who resides elsewhere in Panama), take the time to spend a few days at Park Eden. It will be one of the favorite moments of your vacation and is sure to delight you.
