We were staying at Le Vieux Logis and this was a good alternative to their gastronomic restaurant in the hotel itself. It is also owned by the hotel. The front desk made us a reservation (we went twice) and both times had a nice table by the front window. We enjoyed our meals (duck and foie gras, of course), but the restaurant gets very busy and loud.

Owned and operated by the excellent 1 star Michelin Vieux Logis across the street, the Bistro offered an agreeable change of pace.

Good food, fresh ingredients, simple preparations, offerings weighted toward duck. Crab cannelloni wasn’t the kind of pasta you’ll find in a trattoria (they more closely resemble dim sum), but they were delicious. The grilled duck and rump steak entrees were fine. Reasonable price for a half liter of the drinkable local red wine.

If it hadn’t been for a tour bus full of women of a certain age from Dallas who were also staying at the Vieux Logis, it would have been a perfect experience.

We dropped in for lunch on a drive through the country and were pleasantly surprised by this bistro. The food from the menu du jour was imaginative, full of flavor and beautifully presented. I couldn't imagine getting this meal in a restaurant in North America for the price. Another reason to love France.

We had an excellent lunch here. We did not have a booking, arrived quite late and they were busy! The service was friendly, knowledgable, helpful and efficient. (We speak very little French but all staff were patient and helpful.) The food was excellent. The wine list short but with a good selection to suit all pockets. We wanted dishes from various menus and the staff helped us select without us resorting to eating a la carte. Definitely worth a visit.

Our cycling outfitter, B & R, set up a limited menu dinner for 14 of us at Le Bistrot de la Place for dinner one night. We had been eating more heavier fare and the lighter choices at LBP was a great choice.

This venue is on the courtyard with lots of people watching while we had pre-dining wine outside. Certainly it is easy to find in the village.

Our entrees were either fish or duck (both were good). The waitstaff and kitchen had clearly planned for our arrival. All was well done.

Other than our group, the restaurant was populated by family units or friends out for a fun evening. Clearly a popular neighborhood destination.
