Very interesting history of mining in the Peak District, and information on the geology of the area.

It's worth a visit to this museum. Adults will find plenty of interest in the exhibits , and children will love climbing up and through the simulated lead mines, and pressing the buttons to operate the machinery. Great value for money too.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We do advise 'phoning 01629 583834 to reserve a place on the mine tours. As it is a real mine it is a bit wet and muddy, especially in Spring so sturdy non-slip footwear is recommended.
