Clean and brighr inside, friendly staff. Hungarian cuisine of course, fairly well presented. Goulash was very good. Reasonable choice of wines and beer.

Had eaten here many many times over the past 5 or so years. After about a year in between visits, ate there tonight. Ordered strapazca (?) and instead of it being delicious saucy and tender it was so dry congealed and gross. It had no flavour and was like eating clag. The bottled beer was stale (God only knows how long it has been there), and the waitress had no idea what was going on. I think she might also have been attempting to cook as there was no one to be seen for about 5 minutes after we seated ourselves. So unbelievably disappointed to see what was a great local interesting family run restaurant be run into the ground. If it's still around in the new year I will be shocked.

I would suggest you go here with and empty stomach so that you're happy with the overeating you'll be doing. This is definitely not a vegan traveller's bag, but for those of us who enjoy too much meat it is a MUST VISIT!

This used to a favourite local of ours, and we'd visit every year on Mothers day with my Hungarian grandmother.

Having been out of the country for almost two years, we've returned to find the place is sadly not what it once was (apparently the business was sold in Feb 2016).

Gone is the vast, humourous menu.

The staff were now stiff rather than the formerly jovial crew we used to encounter.

The food was still decent, but despite the reduced menu, several items were still unavailable and the same with the drinks...

Such a shame for what was once a gem.

This place used to be fantastic. Went back last night and it was awful. Disgusting service, so many errors but the waitress couldn't care less, blaming the chef and just avoiding us half the time. Got our starter after mains but their was no acknowledgment of this being a problem. We specifically said they were starters. Two out of four main meals sent out cold. One meal didn't come for more than 15 minutes after everyone else and when it was queried the waitress blamed the chef and accused us of being rude, basically because we had the audacity to ask. Said something about there "being lots of orders". Well firstly how is that our problem? The chef needs to get their timings right and put meals up together. Second, other than us there were only 2 tables in the place, one of which was finished eating and the other ordered way after us. If you can't handle 3 tables (who all ordered 30 minutes or more apart) honestly what are you doing even being open. Anyway, none of that explains why 3 meals came out and one didn't. It eventually came when everyone else was finished. The sorry she gave was like a 5 year old when you tell them they have to apologise to their brother and they clearly don't mean it. Appalling.

As we were finishing up I noticed the exact same issue of missing meals (this time 2 of them) was occurring to a table of 6 and they were gearing up to ask about them. I advised they should get ready to be called rude for asking!

Mistakes can happen and restaurants can have bad nights but their response was EVERYTHING and based on that we definitely won't be back and I am telling everyone I possibly can to avoid this place like the plague, as well as changing every good review online I ever made about them.
