This hotel is true value for money by not pretending to be anything it is not. It is old and distinctively shabby, but it's clean and certainly a good place to be if you just need somewhere to lay your head down for the night. Breakfast is included, which is definitely a plus, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming which helps to create the ambiance of this hotel. We have stayed here 4 times now and will certainly be repeat guests.

Room Tip: Ask for an air-conditioned room in hot weather -- not all rooms at this hotel offer this.

It is a very old hotel, that means that it is not very comfortable but you will have a great atmosphere. High celing, red carpet, wooden furniture it is defenitely a nice place. Breakfast included with a huge choise of bread, cereals and spread creams. It is an old place but everything works perfectly and the staff is nice and ready to help. There is a small and uncomfortable car park and you will be lucky to find a spot because it is not easy to find a car park in that zone.
Of course the location is perfect to visit the cbd but above all the richmond area which is full of characteristic pubs and the mainly sport events.
The prices are a little bit high but I understand that it is because of the strategic location and the breakfast.

Great location close to famous Bridge Road shopping outlet. Easy to get to the city on Tram 75 or 48. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size room, king size bed in the room I stayed in. Needs some new fully fitted mattress protectors and new blankets to freshen the bedding up. Some rooms have their own bathroom, others have shared facilities. A lovely homely place to stay in a busy city.

My girlfriend booked us into this lovely quaint hotel. I loved it. The Victorian style house with lounge, bar and breakfast area. Clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely. Not far from the beautiful food in Richmond, and close to the MCG.

Return visit to stay with family for a wedding at Mountain Goat Brewery.

Our two bedroom apartment was a great price for two couples and 12yr old. We also booked two double rooms for our parents and another adult.

The entry to the two bedroom apartment was from the outside and close to our parked cars. Good size bathroom with shower over bath, toilet & washbasin. Ironing board and iron were also provided.

Ample space in kitchen with table, chairs and two armchairs. Everything provided if you were staying longer to eat in, though nice restaurants close by too. Large comfy king size bed in one bedroom with a single bed included in the other double room.

The other bedrooms were side by side and you wander through the lovely, old hallways to the bedrooms. Quite small rooms with a compact ensuite of washbasin, shower & toilet. Small heater also provided.

Breakfast was included in the price. Cereal, porridge, toast, waffles, fruit, juices and tea/coffee. Plenty of space to dine away from other guests or outside on the terrace if a nice day.

Also included was a complimentary glass of wine or beer in the cosy bar and very nice seating arrangements to read the papers or enjoy a coffee or tea with biscuits.

Staff were very helpful on check-in and answered any questions we had.

Great location to catch trams or in our case a 5 minute Taxi ride to Mountain Goat Brewery for our wedding.

Room Tip: If stairs an issue, talk to staff about best rooms.
