This was capital of Corsica before more than 200 years. Narrow street and many stairways is so beautifull. Exellent view from Belvedere on all old town.

It's only worth to go if you're planning to go hiking or other sport activities. The village doesn't offer much at all.

This attraction, which is startling, will tell you what the flowers are growing on the rock sides of the path but it won't tell you how to get to the citadel
This is not suitable for older people or disabled. There are no paths that are easy to walk on.

Drove all the way from Porte veccio (3 hr drive) and museum and then the citadel was closed too which didn't know that they were connected so just looked at the wall

Very annoying

The citadelle is not the biggest but the view from the Eagle's Nest is stunning (better than the Belvedere). Check out the latrines and kitchen there! One point I would like to make is that you can walk inside the bastion walls just from the street, but to get into the Citadelle, you have to go through the Musee. It's not well marked that this is the case and our guide book was not very clear either.
