Only one recommendation email Despina and book it, a honeymoon suite if you can.
Everything that you read is exactly right. Everyone is extremely professional, always helpful and they have the whole service working like clockwork and yet it still feels personal and special to you. We send our gratitude to the perfect hosts.
When you walk the Coastal path in both directions you come home quite smug that you are staying at the very best, small is beautiful and Anastasis is both.
The light inclusive breakfast as varied freshly made and a bit of a feast, you select a time and the team bring it to your balcony, set up your sun beds and leave you to it.
There treats and surprises throughout the day, so try and devote a full day to just relax and enjoy the hospitality.
My husband was constantly teasing Despina and the girls but they were all great and teased him back. (Natalie,,,Malcom says hi!).
We shall certainly return and choose hopefully better weather as it rained most of our stay at the end of October.
There are many good places to eat and the staff will take and collect you for local restaurants and get taxis for you for those further out. Some places will send a car for you at no cost.
They close completely for the winter months, so we will be booking early for 2012.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite Jacuzzi on balcony with two padded sun beds and another jacuzzi bath with a view from indoors!

The raves from other reviewers are spot on. Staying at Anastasis Apartments is a truely unique and memorable experience. It really was the highlight of our Europe trip. The owners, Despina and her husband, have a top notch staff that never stop impressing you with their level of genuine service and caring. Their restaurant recommendations were all great with reasonable prices. Our favorites were Naoussa in Fira, Roka in Oia and Toy Nikoy near Anastasis (Toy Nikoy offer free transport from Anastasis to their restaurant and back). The breakfasts, which were served on our large balcony overlooking the sea, were all excellent and varied. Gave excellent rating for 'Restaurant' just based on our breakfasts even though there is no actual restaurant at Anastasis.

While at Anastasis, our departure was delayed by one day due to one of Greece's transport strikes and Despina worked her best to assist us in making new bookings. Of course if you're going to be delayed anywhere, Santorini and Anastasis is the place to be.

Room Tip: We think center of 2nd floor has best view but all 10 apartments seemed great from what we could see.

We stayed in early September for 8 nights. Initially we thought "maybe 8 nights will be too much", believe me, it wasn't. It was so perfect and we were the most relaxed we had been for years and years. We had an 2nd floor suite with balcony and outside jacuzzi. It was sensational. The view is for your pleasure alone and you have absolute privacy (other than for the discreet staff attending your every need). The rooms were lovely, functional and easy care. The first couple of days we unwound and explored the island and tackled the local bus system, all good. Loved Oia. You cannot stop looking at the view, its impossible to take your eyes off it. The next couple of days we decided we would just relax because all too soon we would be back home. We did relax and to a level we can't remember ever being for many many years. It was a total unravelling of all stresses and worries safe in the knowledge that Despina and the staff had your every need or whim organised and scheduled. Please take me back there anytime.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fantastic. The suites on the 2nd level and more private and you have your own private balcony which for a stay longer than a couple of days is wonderful to be alone.

I've been meaning to write this review for about 4 months. The place was awesome, I don't think I can really add too much more than the other reviewers; just to say that all the thoughtful little touches really make it special. We did put on a few kilos on holiday but we've since lost those and the memories will last forever. Oh yeah, I proposed there too - magical place. Thank you Depsina and crew for such a lovely time. Hope to come and visit again!

Room Tip: Go for one with a jacuzzi!

We stayed for a week in early October after coming from Athens and afterwards going onto the UK. I won't repeat the superlatives you can read in other reviews - they are all true.

I can add a couple of anecdotes you won't see elsewhere.

My wife and I are both in our sixties and find the shower amenities in many hotels to be a problem - specifically the arrangement whereby the shower is over a bath. This can be a difficulty when one is getting out by stepping over a high bath side onto a wet, slippery floor. For us this is, as they say, an accident waiting to happen. This was the problem we found at Anastasis where the bathroom floor is laid with highly polished marble.

We mentioned this to the reception staff in the hope they might be able to help and were flabbergasted to find within two hours that Despina, the owner, had gone to the local market to purchase a remedy for our problem. She arrived at our unit with a large roll of green felt-like carpet which fixed everything - no more potential for slipping anywhere in the bathroom. We were most impressed.

And one more little story - within 24 hours of our departure we received an email from Despina to say a pair of earrings had been found in our room and where would we like them sent. We replied with an address and found them waiting at the local post office on our return to Australia.

So all the superlatives you will read in other reports are true, we just had a little extra and different experience - the cream on the cake you might say.

Room Tip: As far as we could see they're all good
