I don’t actually know how many times I’ve stayed here now! Still immaculate! This time we stayed in the sun suites royal! Not much different to downstairs, apart from the rooms are bigger! Up on the top floor so 3 lifts to get too but no problem. We have two 8 yr olds and we had breakfast included so was handy to be next to the pool and the restaurant. Breakfast options were plenty! Omelettes, fresh salad, full English, all the pastries you could want and I’ve never seen so many options of jam! Continental options Inc fruit, yoghurt and all the meats etc too! Coffee was fab and so many cereals.
The balcony’s as ever are a huge bonus! The sun is there from rise to set and it really is so hot on the balcony a little sun trap! We didn’t have a bath just a shower! The water does run cold if you stay in too long, I believe about 30litres then you need to wait half hour for it to heat again! There are hair dryers in the room, but they aren’t great so take your own!
If you’re planning on taking the kids be mindful that there are two European single beds in the main room then the beds for the kids is the fold out bed in the sitting room! It’s not ideal if you have teenagers so you may want to book two rooms if that’s the case! Our kids decanted the mattresses and slummed it on the floor in the bedroom with us! They didn’t want to sleep in a sep room anyhow so suited us fine!
Ample wardrobe space and an adequate kitchen!! No oven though!
You are 2mins from Morgan Mall the newly built shopping area and a 5 min walk to the main square! As many pubs n restaurants as you could need! Do visit the Chinese Buffett and the sixty nine bar! On that level is a bakery I think it’s called Delilah’s and it’s unreal! Cheap as chips and just like home! They also do the best chips and curry sauce!
The beach is a 15 min stroll to Puerto Rico beach and 30mins around the mountain to amadores!
This was the first year at xmas ever that we had two days of rubbish weather! But other than that typically Xmas times it’s lovely! Maybe need a cardi for the evening that’s all!
The bar in the hotel has happy hour and the staff are lovely! They also have an in house shop and bakery! Best bread around! For places to stay and value for money in Puerto Rico you can not beat the Terrazamar! We have already booked for this year for xmas 23!! The whole team here from reception, to shop even the lifeguards are just lovely! Will always remain my favourite!

We are staying here at the moment and
Disappointed that when you have a shower the water runs cold after 3 minutes .
Told by reception that you only get 30 litres of water before it runs cold !!
Then 15 /20 minutes to heat back up again ..
We've been to Gran Canaria many times & have never had problems In any of the previous hotels.
Disappointed as this hotel was highly recommended to us .

Enjoyed our 2 weeks spent in the Royal Suites Our second visit and once again first class service from reception and maids daily first class.Looking forward to our return visit.Found the location and use of the lifts great as we are both coming 77 and the use of the bottom gate a godsend..
