We had a large room with a conservatory off it in which our breakfast was served.
The bathroom was compact but all the facilities were good and the water was hot.

After a walk through one of the local woods we returned to change before we met other guests and the hosts in the billiard room for drinks. (Normally this would be on the patio but the weather was wet). Our hosts provided wine and we stood and enjoyed a conversation with them and the two other guests (more were arriving later that night).
We then went out for a meal and were joined by the other guests which showed th value of meeting them over a glass of wine.
Breakfast was excellent and as I had requested included Eggs Benedict on salmon and scrambled egg with salmon for my wife There were of course, muesli and toast as well.

My husband and I stayed in the Clarence Suite, which was very spacious. The ensuite is across the hall, but this didn't bother us. The hosts were very friendly and flexible. We had a lovely time getting to know the hosts and guests over the fireplace in the billiard room. Breakfast was served in our room (very delicious), with quite a large menu to choose from. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is going to stay in the Hanmer Springs area. Wonderful memories!

Maree and Len really made our stay in Hanmer Springs outstanding. Their house will not disappoint and they are very happy to accommodate any request you may have - including our very early morning breakfast order. The rooms are historic and charming and make your stay in the town one to remember. Be sure not to miss the wine gathering in the evening which is really a nice opportunity to sample not only their wonderful wines but also chat with guests. Would highly recommend.

Large rooms surrounding elongated courtyard with nice amenities. Breakfast served in room for added touch. Spacious common area with billiard table for added bonus. Easy walk to springs and main shopping area of the town.

What a beautiful little town topped off with the amazing Hospitality of Marie & Len at Cheltenham House. The Windsor room was gorgeous, soft, cosy beds and a relaxed nothing is too much trouble attitude. Breakfast was the bomb. Your stay here will come with no level of dissatisfaction. Michelle & Raquel.

Room Tip: Windsor Room was tucked away upstairs.
