Went for breakfast having eaten here previously attempted to order the avocado smash minus the bacon and egg as we had done on our previous visit. Asked if we could have grilled tomato instead of egg and bacon like last time. This time we were emphatically told no, you will have to pay extra for the tomato despite us attempting to explain the economics of the situation, that being, a tomato is cheaper than eggs and bacon. Asked for the manager but no one knew who he/she was once again attempted to point out that in the past it was no problem to meet our dietary requirements but I was firmly "told" that they were not "allowed" to do this. Go figure, anyway I politely but firmly pointed out that they had lost our custom and their customer service left a lot to be desired. Went to the Powerhouse cafe instead who welcomed all varieties of dietary requirements and the food was great. Footnote: we got our tomatoes and avocado at the Powerhouse

This is pizza the way it should be done, plenty of toppings and cooked to perfection. A lot of people seem to be complaining about the price on here but I thought it is quite a fair price, especially considering you will normally pay $5/10 less and get measly toppings spread across the base compared to here.

Also, it is a restaurant in a tourist hotspot so you should be expecting to pay a premium.

The best part about this restaurant is it’s in a complex with two bars and they don’t mind you getting a pint from one of them while you are eating there (they only serve bottled beer/wine).

The former Springs Deli Cafe and Piccolino's are now combined under the new name The Roasted Bean, serving a breakfast menu up till 4.30pm and pizza from 5pm. The coffee was great and the cheese scones were to die for. We also had a takeaway large half-and-half Moroccan lamb/apricot smoked chicken pizza and it was superb. Generous toppings, great flavour and a crust that was just right (neither too doughy nor too crispy). Prices are a bit expensive, but if you're after good coffee, cheese scones or pizza, this is the place to be.

Most recently I had a takeaway pizza dinner, then avocado smash for lunch the next day. The pizza was great, had a large half and half vegetarian/chicken B, which was quite enough for two of us for dinner.

Love this place so much, every visit to Hanmer begins with pizza from here. Never ever disappointing. Had the Funghi, Chilli prawn and meatlovers with fries between four people and it was awesome! Perfectly filling and tasty. A tad expensive but worth it for the quality of the pizza you're given.
