Booked a 2.5 day tour and stayed at the dorm.

Dorm room came with one toilet plus two shower rooms as well as a sink area. Super cheap and value for money at 100 baht per night. It's basic and the mattress is very thin you can feel the springs) but good enough for a short stay, plus I didn't spend much time in the room other than to sleep anyway. Cool to be able to hear the sounds of nature from outside, but you also get lizards and ants in your room.

Toilets should have hooks or somewhere to hang your clothes and put your toiletries though, I had to put my clothes on the doorknob.

Tour itself was fun and guides were knowledgeable. Wan and Ben whom we met for the half-day tour were super friendly. We followed a park ranger for the remaining two full days and he's very nice too. Thank you so much for waiting for me to arrive on the first day before starting the tour. I flew in from Krabi, took the bus from Bangkok then took the pick-up service to the guesthouse so it was a rush and I was slightly late (the half-day tour starts at 3pm so preferably be there before that). And thanks for coming to pick me up from the bus stop.

The guesthouse serves the best pork pad thai I've ever eaten! Got attacked by lots of mosquitoes while eating though.

We booked the 1.5 day tour via email and phone calls prior to arriving. Mike was easy to communicate with before we arrived, and had no problem with us changing our dates to bring them forward by a day on the day! We really enjoyed both tours, but the full day more so than the half day. The half day tour I think is better for families.

We had Ben on our full day tour and saw lots. He was informative, interested, and tried to give us a good experience, which we had! We saw snakes, gibbons, macaques, lovely birds, and lots of insects and spiders. We were unlucky with the weather so no elephants seen, but lots of elephant evidence. We've been on several jungle tours and this was one of the better ones. We were very lucky to just be in a group of 3, which I think is quite unusual, and had a great time.

The bungalows were fine. Clean, big enough, and a 5 minute walk from a few restaurants and a supermarket. Our shower was a bit intermittent, but we didn't mention it. Mike was friendly and helpful generally, and was good helping with onward travel. He and his wife have a young child (babe in arms), so give him a break! The food was great! We loved the curries particularly. We would recommend the tours and accommodation. But if your looking for luxury accomodation then you'd be disappointed.

I stayed at Bobbys for 2 nights and went on the full day jungle tour. I had a great experience here, especially refreshing after a horrible customer service experience at another popular khao yai guesthouse. Mike might not be the warmest guy around, but he is still very kind and I appreciated his direct attitude and dry sense of humor. Everything at Bobbys was extremely convenient. Meals are solid and cheap. Beds are hard but only 100 baht in the dorm, so hard to complain. I felt safe here as a solo female traveler. The jungle tour was great for solo travelers and groups alike. You don't have to do the tour to stay at Bobbys, so maybe do some research into exploring khao yai yourself (though you probably will not see elephants and gibbons like we did). Enjoy!

Our stay in Bobby's apartments was perfect! The accommodation with private room and bathroom with air con was cheap, clean and with all the commodities. They offer free pick up and free drop off. Pak Chong is not very touristic for foreigners and is not that easy to move around, thus, that service is necessary. If you are in Pak Chong you must take the Jungles tour. The 1 and a half day tour for the price was worthy. In Khao Yai National Park we had the opportunity to see wild animals such as Elephants, Hornbills, Gibbons, Macaques, Water Lizards, Samba Deer... And wonderful landscapes like rivers, cliffs and the waterfall unfortunately without running water for the dry season. Plus the food from the kitchen was DELICIOUS, by far one of the best meals we had in Thailand !!!!!

We were a bit hesitating whether or not to book here due to the contradicting opinions about the German owner of Bobby's but we did not regret our stay at all. Okay it was indeed a difficult moment when we arrived at Bobby's after a five-hours bus ride at 8.30PM and the owner just said unfriendly that the restaurant just closed and we shut the doors, meaning there was nowhere to get dinner. But one might tolerate such gestures and focus on the new, clean bungalows with fast free wi-fi, really fair value for money. Also, the restaurant normally serves super-delicious thai food at reasonable price. Most importantly, Bobby's tour guides are just AMAZING!!! We particularly loved Jay Jay, our Thai guide who really knows the jungle inside out. She can spot each single bit, she could even find two elephants for us...trust me that's great news within one day! :) On top, Jay Jay is a fantastic person, it's simply just good to be in her company. Overall, we do recommend to stay at Bobby's and book tours with them.

Room Tip: all bungalows are fine
