We were in a group of three people for the tour. While it is a bit of a distance to get out to Pak Chong from Bangkok, it is absolutely worth it! We did the full day tour and saw so much! Our guide Tina had an incredible eye for finding birds, gibbons, and other wildlife. Heads up, the monkeys are not shy! The waterfalls were gorgeous and a bit of a hike. The grasslands are really not to be missed. Can’t say enough about how much you see on this tour! It’s quite a long day, but definitely our favorite on our trip to Thailand.

A very homely style holiday at the Bobbys. We joined their 1.5days jungle tour with their very own experience guides, Anon (Spelling?) and Ben to Khao yai National Park. What a wonderful experience trekking in this UNESCO World Heritage. We saw millions of bats leaving their cave at sunset. It was spectacular and beyond words. Right after each jungle tour, we went back to Bobbys and enjoyed a delicious home cook meal by the Mike's (owner) wife right at the kitchen of this resort. Do not expect amenities of a 3stars resort but it certainly gave us a very homely feeling miles and miles away from Singapore. The warm hospitality from Mike, his wives and all his staff certainly makes me wanna come back again to catch a glimpse of the wild elephant the next time. Kudos to Mike and all his staff.

The tour was nice to see the Nationalpark and to get a first Impression of a rainforest without really getting into it. It depends on what you're looking for. If you are looking for a tour mainly in an open car along the street to see a waterfall, make a 1h hike (it's not deep in the park, you still hear the street), have lunch in a restaurant and get an impression of the park in one day, it's a nice tour and the guide can tell you some interesting things. If you are looking for a day in the jungle, it's definitely not the right thing. We were expecting a one day hike in the jungle without a car, having lunch in banana leafs in the jungle and learn a lot about the plants, nature and animals. That's why we were disappointed, it really depends on your expectations. BUT we saw elephants at the end of the day, which was amazing and definitely made our day.

Bobby's definitely has that family run feel to it but can provide a higher level of service at the same time. There's no formal check-in and I found the booking process with Mike the owner to be a bit too informal but in the end it was fine. For example, I was overcharged on my bill but when I brought it up, Mike changed it immediately. Think brusque German ex-pat.

The apartments were little bungalows with a queen bed, TV, fridge, and attached bathroom. Everything worked fine and were comfortable enough. Definitely met my expectations.

The full day tour is a full 12 hours so be prepared to spend that time out and about. The guide was a energetic young Thai woman who clearly loves what she does. We started with a drive into Khao Yai park and searching for wildlife from the road. We went to the visitor center. Then the 4 hour hike through the forest which was nice. We saw monkeys, deer, and in the end an elephant along the road on our way out.

I would describe the experience as adventure travel lite. You're definitely going to get a little dirty and up close with critters, plus you do need a certain level of physical fitness and flexibility. The hike was rugged but not impossible (about 5km). The pace was a little fast at times and the guide could have taken the extra step to wait on everyone as well. And don't sign up if you're not comfortable riding on benches in the back of a pickup!

Do remember that Bobby's is not anywhere near downtown Pak Chong and the bus or train station. If you take the public bus in from Bangkok, ask to be dropped off near the Tesco and then walk there. They did this for me. Once you find your way there, the accommodations and tour are an excellent value for the money.

The only thing they need to change is to focus a little more on customer service but otherwise fine, so my review is really 4.5 stars.

We had the best time so far in our 3 weeks. Ben was our guide for the 2,5 day tour and he was like Google in real life. He knew everything about the animals, trees or plants.

We were lucky enough to spot elephants, gibbons(white&black), makkaka's, the great hornbill, centepedes, butterflies, varane(big lizzard), scorpion skin.

On the camping we were between deer and monkeys(!). Ben got us a special meal.

He delivered us a great time and was a Nice guy taking care for the whole group.

Thank you for the experience and tour!
