The restaurant we intended to go to was closed so we opted for this one . We were given a choice of interior or exterior we chose to sit outside under an umbrella , my husband had smoked salmon entree it was enormous , and then we both had moules and frites delicious and an enormous bowl full I couldn t manage all of them . The staff were courteous and attentive and they seemed plenty of them , will return again

All the recommendation for restaurant in Arzon were closed ( early season). So we tried La grande Cale. They say us in a dirty table and left us there for 10 minutes before they cleaned it. They served the table behind us that came after us. They ignore us ever when called. After 30 minutes wait, we got our menu and then announced us that they did not have the main platter ( moules/frites) anymore. Only platter remain to be crepes. We left. It reinforces the use of other recommendations from Trip Advisor. We went to Le cap Horn, 5 minutes away which I recommend

Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Fish soup to start, mooles and frites and a very nice breton tart to finish, while my wife had a very nice salad.

Arzon is a pretty little village on the eastern promontory of the Golf du Morbihan.
We were out of season and most cafes appeared closed but found a little café La Grande Cale Bar and Brasserie. We were the only people.
We sat outside in the rather weak sunshine and shared a pot of Moules with cream and frites €12.40 and 50cl of Rose €8.90. Very tasty indeed.€21.30.
A very pleasant and friendly waiter and whilst we were there a couple of other people turned up. I hope they enjoyed their meals as much as we did.
As we left Arzon we saw a sign to the Butte de Cesar supposedly a dolmen atop a pointy hill. We walked and climbed the hill but no dolmen was to be seen.

This modest restaurant serves high quality food, at very reasonable prices.I have been here several times, and the quality and taste is very consistant. My favourite dish is "moules a la creme"
but their meat dishes are also excellent, and their home made desserts ( tiramisu ) an experience!

The owner very present, makes sure that all goes well. Definitely a place to go.
