This restaurant has huge of smoking ovens using only the finest oak and I think maple wood chips. They smoke both local fish as well as top quality fish from Norway and the Atlantic.
We tried the following
Eel - the best I have ever tasted, juicy, oozing with jelly
Red Perch - moist and delicious
Trout sold out !
Salmon - very tasty
They also have smoked carp, halibut, various large members (30 Kg !) of the pike genre !
The restaurant has several sections, a self service area right on the lake side, an open air full service restaurant behind a glass windscreen, an indoor full service area.
We ate on a Sunday in the open air restaurant, the service was very slow, the staff quite harried.
I would really recommend the self service area, then you can choose the exact fish you want at the serving counter. Only problem with the self service area is there is no fence at the piers edge, so dangerous for little children
