I stopped for lunch at Le Genois during my trip to Les Saintes. Food was good, I tried their $20 Euro menu, and service was nice. Their tourment d’amour desert was great. The waiter went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our lunch. Lots of people from the cruise ship but we appreciated the staff was trying their best to serve everyone as fast as possible. Indeed really nice place for lunch.

We went here on our second and last night on Terre de Haut. The seafront location is attractive but we were disappointed by the food and service after having enjoyed a first class dinner the previous night at another restaurant in the town.

First of all we had a very long wait for our food to be served after arriving there soon after opening time and ordering a couple of beers and half a bottle of rosé wine. I am always keen to try local specialities so the lambi (conch) fricassee appealed to me. However is was disappointingly bland and nothing special. My partner's duck was tough. We didn't have a dessert as we didn't fancy another long wait.

The previous evening (see my review) we enjoyed an excellent three course meal for 25 euros whereas the main courses we had at Le Genois were around the 20 euro mark and bore no comparison. Maybe they just had an 'off' night but our experience was not good.

We ate lunch at this water front restaurant and were very pleased with the salade au chèvre chaund and quiche and salad. They were both delicious, fresh and very well priced at €13 and €14. The setting is lovely and if you sit on the outside table, there is a nice breeze blowing in the heat of the day. Recommended.

Visited this place recently for two orang incas and the free wi-fi offering. Clean, tidy, shady and with pleasant service. If you have a little French and manage to pay in Euros your passage will be smoothed; those who spoke only English and waved US dollars seemed to get a cooler shoulder!
By the way, postcards posted here, on French territory, took only a week to get back to the UK.

Had a fairly simple supper her, both ordered entrecote with roquefort sauce. My meat was quite undercooked (asked for medium) but hubbys seemed fine. The fries served with the meat looked like the frozen kind. We popped by the restaurant a little while before seven and asked if there would be a table available. Waiter responded yes and went in to the restaurant. When we came back at seven, we asked if we could sit inside, under the fans, but were told we had to sit outside, cause thats were we had our reservation. Must then mention that we never got any option when we reserved and also that the restaurant was fairly empty, and remained fairly empty especially inside for the whole meal. Biggest problem was that the waiter made herself so unavailable, so if we didnt want to get up and walk inside to her, we had no chance to try to rectify the problems. All staff seemed generally disinterested. Disapointing!
