Stu Casa is truly breathtaking. 5 of the bedrooms are equal in terms of view, bed size and comfortability, bathrooms, etc. One of the bedrooms in the main house that is not ocean front has two twin beds with trundles. Our group was 8 adults and 5 children (ages 8 months-10 years). The kitchen was state of the art with everything you needed to prepare a meal. The living room was large however we spent very little time in the living room. Each level of the house has a porch with rocking chairs, hammocks and swings. The pool was large enough for our entire family with beautiful waterfall features. The spa was a great place to end the day to watch the ocean, although we never turned the spa heater on. Next to the pool was an outdoor kitchen for grilling.

Upon arrival the house mom served each of us fresh squeezed lemonade and cold wash cloth. The service from the house mom that is included in the rate is what truly sets this location apart from other vacation home rentals. Throughout our week long stay we had 1-3 house moms that came in each day and prepared a beautiful spread of breakfast with fresh cut fruit. The house moms clean the house, make up the beds, do all of the laundry including beach/pool towels EVERY day. We made a grocery list for each day and the concierge delivered the groceries by 3p. The up charge is 20% but more than worth it.

The concierges were incredible. The service at this home is absolutely first class. Our group scheduled a fishing trip (my brother caught a 60 lb grouper), in house massages (amazing), transportation to and from Liberia airport and scuba diving during our trip. After each scheduled event the concierge would come by the house to make sure we were well taken care of and pleased. Whatever we needed the staff made sure we had it and quickly at that.

The Pura Vida Shop is on property and had paddle-boards, kayaks, mountain bikes, boogie boards, volleyball, yoga classes, SUP Yoga (paddle-board yoga), ice cream, gourmet coffee, apparel. The staff at the shop were super nice and helpful. Our group did each activity offered. Mountain bike trails are pretty tough if you are a beginner but worth every second. You can hike miles around property and get to other beaches. The views from the hikes were breathtaking. The SUP yoga class with Mary Ann is one of the most amazing experiences and a MUST do. All of the boys in our group boogie boarded everyday. The waves are quite impressive. The beach is rocky at some points and some days the water was a little too rough. The shop also offers ATV rental and Jet Ski rental. Our group did not do either but plan to next year.

LImonado is the only restaurant on property. The service again is truly amazing. The restaurant is outside where they have corn hole, swings, rope climbing, etc. We had cocktails and ice cream in the afternoon so we could watch the monkeys. The kids LOVED this. We threw a surprise 40th birthday dinner on the lounge above the restaurant. The staff was helpful in setting this up and went out of their way to make the event a special one. We did not go off property for dinners as we had chef most of the time. We ate at the restaurant several times though and the food was great.

Security is all around the property 24 hours a day and there was not one moment that we ever felt unsafe. Directly between the ocean and the house is unique playground that the kids loved to play on.

I can not think of one negative thing about this house or the experience. If you are looking to vacation in Costa Rica, Las Catalinas is something you will never forget. A truly amazing adventure with top of the line service from every aspect.

We stayed at StuCasa for the second time, this time with a different branch of the family. Everything about the house is perfect: it is elegant, comfortable, spacious, and well-planned.The choice of furniture, towels, bedding, and dishes couldn't be better.

This house was lovely and elegant but comfortable, spacious, and came with a Casa Mama who cooked breakfast, made beans and rice and guacamole and smoothies, and cleaned and did laundry. The infinity hot tub looked out at the beach just a few minutes away. Our three generations fit in beautifully. It was the sort of place that was aesthetically pleasing but you didn't have to worry about fragility of furniture. We appreciated it and took good care of it. It is one of the houses in Las Catalinas, a well-thought out small development with a wonderfully friendly and capable staff, a restaurant and bar with goodies, equipment rentals, grocery buying options, etc.T his was a fabulous cream vacation!

WOW! That's how our group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids) felt as we arrived and began exploring StuCasa - it's even more amazing than it appears in the pictures. The house and surroundings at Las Catalinas are beautiful. I can't think of anything that was lacking with the house. Nice, large kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and everything we needed to cook at home. Great outdoor spaces, including the balconies, outdoor kitchen/grill, lovely walkway between the main house and guest house, patio with fountain and of course, the pool and jacuzzi (kids were either in the pool or at the beach the entire time). Beds were comfy and the master bath with the shower that opened to the outside was a special treat. We were totally spoiled by the House Mama - breakfast and clean up every morning, laundry, general housekeeping and the best pineapple smoothies EVER! Loved being so close to the beach - easy to run back to the house if needed and the sound of the ocean was ever-present and soothing. Lots of space despite a house full of people - plenty of quite places to escape to for reading or napping and the large kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for entertaining friends who were staying in another beautiful Las Catalinas rental. The perfect place to stay for a perfect vacation in Costa Rica. Can't wait to return!
