Located next to a small lake with view of mountains. Large rooms with Italian decor. Warm & friendly staff. I would recommend this Hotel and would definitely come back. There is an attached restaurant where we ate as a large group with 40 or so people. Amazing service and food.
Three years ago we skiied in the Abruzzo mountains at February half term. Just 20 mins drive from the slopes we were at Don Luis hotel where we were made to feel so welcome, and treated to authentic local food and hospitality.
Amazing value for money and real quality food and wine included in the package has ensured that we have returned with friends each subsequent year. Generous aprez-ski cakes and wines were provided upon our return from the ski slopes each day, by the family owners and friendly staff.
The staff was courteous and welcoming. I asked a steam iron and instead the lady at the desk ironed my shirt for me. My room was huge and nicely decorated. Beakfast was wonderful. There was a group of soccer players at the hotel and they were extremely well-behaved. And finally, the rates were incredibly reasonable. Staying at Hotel Don Luis enhanced my trip!
Great family run hotel. We found everyone very friendly and helpful. We found the breakfast quantity and variety plentiful always get what you expect but its all part of travelling.
The lake view from the room was amazing.
We received a warm welcome here. It is a nice hotel though the setting is not as impressive as the clever photography suggests! The triple room was comfortable and spacious.
The attached restaurant was excellent. Good value and surprisingly good quality. We were so impressed the first night that we were looking forward to eating there again on the Saturday and were devastated to fingd it closed for a private function! It would have been nice to be pre-warned! Anyway a good hotel a short drive away from the slopes. We would return.
