Warning!
We booked directly with the hotel and ended up being charged per person per night! Our friend was charged for 2 people being in his room even though he was the only one but apparently because he had a double bed he had to pay. This was NEVER stated in the email. This ended up costing over £350 per night per room making this terrible value for money.
Staff weren't very helpful, the place is old and worn and I was not allowed to use the iron.

Stayed: August 2015

the price is too high for what could be a two stars hotel. The breakfast is really poor. The rooms are not great either and the TV are very old. The wifi works only close to the reception. The position is very good and the beach is at a walking distance.

Our stay at the Punta Est Hotel was very relaxing and we enjoyed the many amenities provided, such as the outdoor swimming pool, great meals at their restaurants, air conditioned room, short walk to a beautiful beach, and many very good restaurants at the beach.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool and sea.

We stayed in the hotel beginning of August on a half-board basis, which was excellent!
Go to the beach in the morning, come back to the pool to cool off and then off to a nice lunch, which comprised of a hot meal as well as seafood and plenty of fruits, cheese, sausages etc,
After lunch, you relax in the afternoon at the pool, read your book etc. and then you go for an evening drive or stroll on the seaside promenade.
Right, TV's are small, TV channels only Italian and Internet in the reception only -but who cares? You didn't go all the way to Sardinia to watch TV, right?
This is a very comfortable hotel with good location and a smile in the reception!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are nice of course but rooms facing the back have been renovated and are better equipped.

The hotel is in a beach town Baja Sardinia where there is nothing but a beach (part of Costa Smeralda), and some hotels & restaurants around it. So basically, when you come out of the beach, either you drive off somewhere or stay in the hotel and that's it. Oh, maybe walk around in the beach area a little but as it is so small, you can't expect much from this beach village - they are also very expensive.
Punta Est offered us half board offers and when you have small children, it often becomes our stressless and handy choice. So when you are back in the hotel tired from beach (and playing with children), dinner in the hotel seemed very comfortable for us, esp. when the rest of the town seemed not too attractive lol.
Price was high, but not as high as I found in the similar level of hotels in the same area, and considering the food price in the village or nearby, it looked more than just affordable but a good choice to take.
Yes, beware of the room choice, because if you choose the NON sea view ones, you will receive nice steaming hot sunlight from around 2PM until 10PM in the summer, which makes the room's air-con meaningless. We stayed in the sea side view room and air con was working OK, not the best but OK. But I overheard a man talking to the manager of the hotel being almost indifferently treated when he made a claim that his NON sea view room is steaming hot.
Oh, BTW the beach is ca. 3 to 5 min walk, if you walk slowly. Would not complain about that. And no wifi in the room; in the entrance hall only. Their TVs are from Medieval period and incredibly tiny. We didn't need either that much though.

Room Tip: No sea view means not only missing the sea view but having more heat in the summer.
