Well first impressions very nice reception area pleasant staff although not much English spoken but along with our pigeon Spanish we got along just fine.
Up to our room (2nd floor sea view ) rather basic to say the least and a shortage of electric plugs only one mirror (except for bathroom) no plug near so made it difficult to dry hair (I always take my own dryer as don't like the hotel ones in bathrooms) The bedding and towels were clean but could have done with a good dust and sweep. It is worth pointing out that as the hotel is built to represent a cruise ship the higher the floor the smaller the balcony.
Next stop dinner well don't know were to start people just milling around however there were no accidents I do not know the food was luke warm and the noise horrendous. There was only one restaurant open so no way to escape the noise. After dinner off to the bar in reception for drinks ( lovely barmaid Sandra) Salsa night with live band not enough seating and very loud, it was the same every night of our stay so we used to sit outside in the smoking area with the exception of one when we went to the pool bar lovely till 10.30pm when Spanish bingo started!!

Our stay was Tuesday to Tuesday so we witnessed Spanish style Saga type holidays change to Butlins family weekend. Friday afternoon saw the arrival of the families the noise was worse than ever impossible to sit by the pool as for the restaurant kids riding around on scooters, bikes one girl even riding a hover board Saturday lunch time I had to leave after 10 minutes as the noise was just too much ( we do have 5 grandchildren so are used to noise and are not anti child) needless to say we spent the rest of the weekend away from the hotel despite being in an all inclusive tariff.
Monday saw the return of the older generation still so much noise I know the Spanish do tend to shout as have visited many areas of Spain but this was exceptional. So we continued eating out plus it meant we got hot food. The reception bar closed so entertainment was now at the pool bar followed by dancing in a large room opposite the canteen Arghh!! Was glad to come home for some peace and quiet.
Perhaps also worth saying if using A2B transfers from Faro your return pick up is given in Portuguese time we were ready and waiting for 6.15 a.am. the taxi did not arrive till 7.15 due to the time difference

We are staying at the hotel at the moment, accommodation is great but the food is terrible, everything is cold if you want to have a hot meal you have to put it in a microwave to heat it up, breakfast they serve up cold fryed eggs same with scrambled egg and they call this a 4 star the accommodation maybe but I have had far better food at a 2 star

The corridors of this hotel set the tone for the above film, except the fourth floor which has had a refurb.
Good points are the most beautiful beach, the pool, grounds and plenty of sun beds.
Food is very good but but is served in the noisiest restaurant I have ever experienced, making meal time an ordeal, I just wished someone had written a honest review before I booked.
Coach tours stopped here most lunchtimes resulting in a long que to enter the restaurant, also queuing for drinks.
The staff worked very hard but did not understand any English making it very difficult to communicate.
Book this hotel if you do not mind noise and a tired appearance.

Room Tip: This hotel is a "U" shape and best rooms are on both ends or those looking inward towards the pool. Top floor has been refurbished.

Just returned, flying from Cardiff to Faro, then a 2 hour transfer. across the border.
Not a good start. Noone on reception spoke English.
I asked where the restaurant was and hand gestured a knife and fork.
The young man disappeared to the office and returned with a toothbrush!
The room was o.k., nothing really to complain about. Food is what you would expect for a package holiday although always cold.
After a few days 2 microwaves appeared so there must have been complaints.
All anouncements were in Spanish. Entertainment was poor including bingo and a quiz in Spanish. Needless to say we didnt participate.Very few brits there ! I.m not surprised.
Its ideal for disabled people- not a step anywhere Lots of blind physiucally impaired people with carers and wheelchairs. You wont find an English T.V. |OR radio programme. Need less to say- wont return. Went by bus to Seville- well worth the visit.
Had a hell of a job to find our return pick up times- again english.
Eventually met a Welsh couple who found on her I pad.

Room Tip: DONT BOTHER. without Spanish

We paid extra for a sea view room only to be told on arrival that the hotel was full and there were no sea view rooms available we had paid an extra £105 for this. The entertainment was awful a viva la Spania every night and line dancing to ache breaky heart. Children's disco 10:00 - 11:00? the weekend from Friday onwards is terrible when hundreds of Spaniards and their ferrel children arrive running wild everywhere skateboards in the dining area and noise levels increase to an unbearable pitch.Long queues up to 30 mins for meals.(Food was okay but repetitive) ,I would not rate the only restaurant open as a restaurant it is more like a works canteen, same applies to pool bar long queues for drinks.Bar closes at 12 oclock at five past staff stand behind you tutting waiting for glasses(plastic). If I won a holiday here I would ask for the second prize. The room was small glass petition between apartments cracked.veranda door would not close. hangers in wardrobe broken, tiles in bathroom dirty,Paint flaking of veranda doors.Dust under bed 1/4" deep.I would rate this hotel a 2-3* at best I found this shocking as this hotel allegedly was refurbished in April this year.the only thing going for it would be the way the complex is set out and access to the wide stretch of beach ,having said that there are sun beds you can hire on the beach which are surrounded by litter which just does not get cleaned up.From Friday onwards when the Spaniards and their ferrel children arrive it can only be described as a bad episode of HI DI HI,When suddenly the indoor pool is available there had been no access prior to their arrival and various activities spring into action just catering for them.It was fairly obvious that the Brits are not welcomed there as they are out grouped.Give it a miss.
