I went on a hot sunny Monday from St.ives Camb and the traffic on the A47 from Peterborough to Kings Lynn was slow moving . In future I will seek an alternative route . However the beach was easily accessible and I parked on the road within 400yds of the beach. The small carpark charges are dear hence why people were parking on the road. There is a small cafe and toilets next to the carpark. The beach itself is sandy with small sized dunes to the back of the beach and when the tide is out there is a long walk to the sea ,the beach was not heavily populated . It is ideal for families because of the deep shallow sand leading to the sea. If you don't want crowds then this beach is ok.

Love this beach. Kids love playing in the sand. Great fun when the tide is out. Sea goes on for miles

Great sandy dog-friendly beach. Spent a lot of our time here enjoying the great sunsets and splashing about in the water!

Great dog friendly beach in Heacham. South Beach one way and you've guessed it North Beach in the other! Both offer vast areas of sand and a long walk out when the tide is out. We walked along to North Beach one evening and had fish and chips ( which was ok but not that great) from the chip shop just behind the stepped sea defence. The pleasure was sitting on the steps eating our food and watching the sun go down at the only west facing beach in Norfolk. Great fun.
