Excellent!! Great throughout on the scarborough Spa in Premier dinning which was a Christmas present for the other half. Staff great, food great, ran on time if not early throughout. We boarded our train on Thursday 21st June 2018 at Carnforth bright and early and were welcomed shortly after boarding with a hot cup of tea. I had booked this day for my husbands birthday and pushed the boat out and booked the premier dining. It was fabulous from start to finish. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted fabulous as was the evening meal on the way back. The chef knew his stuff and produced quality food. The service was of a high standard and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were happy and fun and made the experience even more enjoyable. Rachael and the lady from Liverpool from Marion Square ( I remembered) were brilliant. Our Coach Supervisor Dave was so lovely, so helpful and assisted a lady who had mobility problems and made sure we were able to disembark safely. Thank you to all on the Scarborough Express

We boarded the train at Wellingborough and breakfast was soon underway . The porridge was creamy and the full english was promptly served it was very tasty and hot. The mid morning snack was tea/coffee and biscuits. The train arrived spot on time in G O S. On the return journey dinner started to be served at 4.30pm ( perhaps a little early) which was garlic mushrooms followed by lamb with all the trimmings which was all well cooked and hot a light pudding and coffees ect followed.
All the train staff were friendly and did their best to ensure you enjoyed your day and we arrived back to Wellingborough exactly on time.

Boarded our train at Preston to a very warm welcome. Headed off towards Yorkshire with an excellent full English breakfast and excellent friendly service from the staff at Gravy Train catering. Arrived York where iconic steam engine British India Line was attached. We then travelled steam hauled to Scarborough in good time and with the soundly and smell only a steam engine can provide. We then spent four hours in Scarborough before returning again on our steam engine to York. The engine crew were only too helpful answering the many questions we asked. A sumptuous dinner of roast beef and all the trimmings was served on the return journey. We arrived back in Preston diesel hauled and on time. A great day out from West Coast Railway. We will definitely travel with them again
