We were just taking a drive around the Irish Loop and pulled into a dirt road named La Manche. We found a hiking trail at the end and proceeded to discover a wonderful suspension bridge about 1.5 k into the woods! Will definitely go back in the summer!
It was not a tough hike. Very easy to get to with a little bit of water running through the trail. So make sure you wear proper shoes for this hike.
A beautiful place to visit and a must see. Beautiful breathtaking landscapes and the old ruins from the fishing village that once sat there. A must see if your up for a little hike.
Such a pretty area but sites need alot of work,The sites are dirtyfallen trees.,tables need painting.Firepits are broken.Quiet time is not enforced.
La Manche Provincial Park is in a pretty setting, convenient to St. John's and with access to the East Coast Trail. We reserved campsite #21 in the unserviced loop. Despite the fact that this loop does not have power hookups, almost every site was filled with an RV or camper. The quiet hours policy is not enforced, and our neighbors ran their generators all night long. Tent campers beware--while the washroom facilities make this a comfortable experience, you won't be close to nature!
Prov.park is a wonderful camping site.showers, landrymat, hiking, swimming, and beautiful Southern Shore mkes this a the erfect camping vacation.
