A quiet, comfortable hotel close to the beach with a fantastic cuisine due to Chef Manolis (ex Chef Gerakina) clean, well-equipped, we felt good here, thank you Iannis!
We miss "papuci" and sea tongue soup.....

We arrived at the doorstep due to recommendation from a restaurant in town. We enjoyed our stay very much. Rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast was nice with different servings every day. The hotel is placed in second row from the beach so it is an easy stroll. Finally the owner was very help full in telling us about places of interest in the area. - and even teaching us a few words in greek.

It was such a great experience. We were 10 friends and had a great time. A lovely and clean hotel, a serviable staff, and the food ... the food is awesome.
I recommend it .
The beach is really close (20 meters) and is so clean (no rocks and debrees)

Very suitable for family and for groups.
Gerakini is a quiet resort, without specific Greek parties, and with traditional beach.
I suggest to go by car and explore the region for finding more Greek attractions.
The hotel is a family business and it is suitable for families and for groups.
The hosts are friendly and will help you to identify more suitable opportunities in the area, according with your expectations.
Excellent area for cycling trips (mtb and road).
Personally I enjoyed the olive trees garden around the hotel.

Enjoy!

If you expect to find a gem at a bargain; no such thing. It's cheap and so much you get. The owners are very friendly and their parents help with great enthusiasm. Also I can say that the place is clean and the chef cooks a good meal. Nothing fancy, nothing magic.

The reality is that the village itself is ramshackle glory, the hotel is second row and has no visual connection to the sea whatsoever. The pretty thing about the hotel is the two old trees in front of it. The room we had, had a 140cm bed - for 2 people, that is. All night I wondered how the overweight couples would manage with such ordeal. At arrival I noticed some of our fellow guests were on the heavy side. That's why.

We didn't sleep much. The blanket didn't help either. It smelled of wet dog. If you plan to watch TV; bring binoculars. Furniture in the room is basic but adequate. Bathroom very simple, but clean. Shower is mini. The type with the shower curtain that will hug you when you shower. Nowhere to hang up the shower-end, so you will be holding the shower with 1 hand and washing yourself with the other.

At arrival we were welcomed by the chef, award winning, according to the web site of the hotel. He was very friendly and gave us some tips of where to go and what to see. That was nice. What was not so nice is that he told us that the restaurant opens at 15.30 for lunch. We were happy we had already eaten that afternoon. The same evening we had dinner in the restaurant. Fish from the grill and a salad. Was ok. Nothing fancy, but honest food. The other tables ate eggplant with minced meat. Looked good.

Breakfast the other day was budget. Starts at 8 at the earliest. One hour too late, in my opinion. Especially when you have small kids. Coffee was very bad. Nescafe machine. Should put a ban on them. Orange juice from the can with too much sugar. Eggs, bread and some fruit. Margerine and jam from small plastic cups.

We booked for 7 days after hot recommendation by a friend, but decided to leave. The owner was surprised because we were the first customers that told him that we didn't like his place in the 10 years of its existence. He proudly tapped his tripadvisor and booking.com awards which are on display on the front desk. Only happy customers, you know.

I'm pissed off, because I was misinformed.
By the hotel website and by all the reviews.
