Traditional Italian style dinner done to perfection! This little place is right across the street from the general store and Pura Pizza. So good. 3 couples and everyone loved their meals. Handmade ravioli and gnocchi that will knock your socks off.
Hand squeezed juice drinks too.
You do have to ask for alcohol to be added as there was some confusion there for the drinkers in the group as they have hard liquor in the bar but not on the menu.

Still dreaming about that spicy sausage...

I love indulging in the local fare while I'm in Costa Rica, but Cafe Fiore was a nice change of pace, with beautifully presented and delicious Italian food to rival even the best stuff back home. As with most of the food in the area, everything looks great and tastes so fresh, but this place has some charcuterie that I really don't see in Costa Rica. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is cash only. Large salads that can be shared by 2 people. The pasta is delicious and served al dente. I had the tagliatelle with tomato sauce and meatballs. Very flavorful and meatballs were excellent. Another diner had the tagliatelle with butter and sage. Very good. The chicken picatta was excellent as was the gnocchi. Price was right.

I lived in italy for 3 years and visit every year. I never would have guessed that I would come to Costa Rica and get the same quality pasta as you do in Italy. Even the Gnocchi were amazing, which I consider the most difficult pasta to make. They have great panini during the day, and fresh pasta at night. Several different kinds of pasta and several kinds of homemade and delicious sauces - Pesto, Pomodoro, Arrabbiata..... And it is ALL authentic. Their Ravioli was light, perfectly cooked, and with a simple, honest tomato sauce. For a bar, they have wines and beer and a few champagne cocktails, but not a full bar. It's right on the main street so you can relax, eat and watch the world go by. And they make a fantastic espresso, cappuccino and other specialty italian coffees. Nichola is the owner, and his wife Nicole is an amazing Aryuvedic massage therapist. We came back here 3 or 4 times during our week long vacation, if that is any indication of how good it is!

Loved the owner who explained the menu in detail and whirled every dish he was serving other patrons by us so we could see all the different choices. Pasta and sauces were the best I have had in a long time. Really superior food. Definitely give this a try. He has a cafe beside open for breakfast and lunch. Closes at 3 and reopens for dinner at 6. There was a lineup waiting to get in when we left at 9 pm. Oh and the non alcoholic basil and ginger lemonada was excellent too!
