We stayed at this property for a week and really loved it. We were 4 plus a dog and there was more than enough space for all of us. The kitchen is spacious and comes with most of the things we needed. The bedrooms are very big and the beds are very comfy. Having two bathrooms was really helpful. The property was clean and charming. There is a lot of outside space and a pool which I think would be lovely in summer (we stayed in the beginning of April). Even though there were other guests there, we rarely saw and heard them, it was very quiet and peaceful.
The location is great (but you do need a car to get there), Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, San Giminiano (and lots of other lovely places) are within easy reach and there is a lot to do and see. Castelnuovo d'Elsa itself is very small but there is a little shop that is open every day from morning til late at night.
Giulia, Christiano and Simone (owners) are brilliant, really helpful and they go out of their way to make their guests at home and show them around. Christiano also showed us his vinyard which was very interesting to see and we could sample their wine.

We went in October so were the last guests but the hosts were so welcoming. We were able to look around the wine business and even bottle one to take away. It was also the truffle season and a large one was left at the apartment for us to try!
It was an easy drive to Sienna, Pisa and an equally easy train to Florence. The self catering apartment was comfortable and the grounds and views splendid.
You must have a car to enjoy the area and buy supplies. We would visit again.

Room Tip: An apartment that looks out over the hills makes for lovely views all day.
