For us this was a last minute decision to go to the alps during the August feiertag. Therefore the cost of this hotel was pretty high. We also knew very little before arriving. When we did arrive (after a 5 hour journey that should have been 2 1/2) we were amazed. This isn't the most modern of places but it is so homely. It is clearly a family affair.
Food: The food was great. Good breakfast, Full evening meal and a cake and tea mid afternoon (if you are around).
Staff: All excellent
Children: Child care is included in the price. They have a great play area and also go and do activities. Our son was too young to be left alone there but he loved it nevertheless.
Pool: There is a private entrance into the Ramsau pool which is open from 11am (so no early morning swim). The pool has a large pool (~25m) and a good kids area. It also opens onto the grass in the summer.
Walking & Other activities: They have so much included in the price. There are spare boots, poles, prams, I even think a baby carrier. On arrival we were given two folders with suggested walks in and they have a good map at reception too. They also organise various guided walks to suit different levels.
All in all a great few daysMore
