We stayed 1 night in this self contained unit. The unit is great and importantly, clean. Towels, body shampoo, shampoo and hairdryer are provided.
We're unable to purchase wine from owner as the wine still under processing, but there's a supermarket not too far away.
The price includes either continental or cooked breakfast which was satisfying.
Unfortunately we did not explore the vineyard because of our limited time, what a waste...
It's relaxing to sit in the garden & drinking wine under NZ beautiful starry sky. Recommend to whom who like privacy.

My wife and I stayed at the Blackhouse Vineyard for four nights. The B&B is a separate unit to the main house. Gill and Kerry were extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough to please their guests. The B&B had its own private garden area and we explored the vineyards on our final day. The B&B is well located for local trips and sightseeing in or around the Christchurch area. We were slightly concerned about the shakes, however the B&B is located far enough away to be of any real concern. Each night we had the perfect nights sleep and awoke to a very tasty breakfast. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice! We would gladly stay there again if we were in the area.

We stayed at Blackhouse Vineyard B & B for a night. Despite the minimal reviews online, we really liked the look of the website and decided to take a chance. We were pleased we did! The unit is very private, with a wee private garden. You can also walk all over the property so we took a stroll among the vineyard. The unit was clean with everything we needed, and the hosts, Gill and Kerry, were very nice. The breakfast tasted as good as the pictures we saw online! And the fact that it was included with the nightly price was excellent, great value for money. If there had to be a tiny down side, it was the traffic noise from the main road, but it was only noticeable outside and didn't bother us in the unit. We will definitely be back.
