On arrival the place looked nice from the outside, but inside was a different story. The entrance foyer is dated and was not as clean or inviting as it should be.

The manager was not very friendly or helpful.

First impressions on entry to the unit (No. 13), not cleaned well, very dated and not well appointed like others we've seen.

Bedroom - not enough draw storage for clothing etc. (although there was a tacy plastic set of draws - with 1 draw missing in the wardrobe). Not enough hangers in the wardrobe. The bed was only just acceptable - very hard. No air con in bedroom, however there was a floor fan, but very noisy and needed a good clean - ceiling fan needed to circulate the air better.

Bathroom - rusty waste bin - shower head leaked - no face cloths - vanity unit grotty - mirror left dirty - toilet cistern leaked until we fixed it - toilet roll holder was dirty - hot water ran out quickly with 2 guests, even having short showers. The 3rd guest with us for 2 nights had to have cold showers.

Kitchen/Dinning/Lounge - table dirty and dusty on arrival - oven not cleaned properly - had to tune TV before use - floor was very dusty and very dirty under the TV cabinet and lounge chairs.

Other - free WiFi didn't work for more than 2 days - limited amount of data not enough for 2 guests - doors and walls needed a good clean, badly marked and dirty.

Lift - dirty carpet and mirror on arrival and not cleaned at any time through the week.

Spa - water temp ok but pressure jets were turned down, resulting in a disappointing experience.

Art works - very dated, drab colors used, not in keeping with the beach surroundings.

Landing carpet - dirty on arrival and not cleaned at any time through the week.

Our overall rating - 1 out of 5 - "Cheap Price", but not cheap enough for what we got. Would not consider staying here again - would rather walk further for much better quality at a higher price.

Room tip: We were on the south side at the front - only got very early morning sun.

Check in process very easy

Apartments fit for purpose I would go back again however next time I would ask for an apartment that's in the sun (in winter) because it's cold in the shade in winter.

Free parking outside apartment

Location perfect if you want to be close to Coles and harbor town,

We stayed in #12 at a cost of $500 per night for Comm Games. Smelly appartment, curtains had blockout falling off, lumpy pillows, plank of timber under cushions on couch so you didn't fall in, had to wash crockery & cutlery before use, the whole place needs a reno. The bedroom needs a ceiling fan rather than a giant standing fan that makes it hard to get past to the other side of the bed. No drawers or anywhere to put the suitcase so we left it on the table that was too rickety to sit at anyway. The hallways are dark and airless and I noticed a few leaves that stayed on the carpet for the 3 days we were there and never vacuumed up.
We spent as little time as possible in the apartment and didn't was to sit on the stinky couch to watch the foxtel at night.
Positives are the beautiful water views and the clean sheets and towels.

Room tip: Water views were beautiful with a lovely sunrise and a nice breeze came in the help clear the smell

We spent 5 days at Windsurfer mid Feb 2018. Weather was ridiculously hot so enjoy air con in lounge, balcony and swimming pool. No air con in bedroom but did have fan. Reception service was fabulous. Cooking facilities and utensils ideal. Easy, 10 min stroll along estuary boulevard to nearest bus stop that services Surfers and beyond. Famous fish & chip shop 10 min walk and Harbourtown Outlet Mall 5 min taxi ride.

Room tip: We would definitely return.
