“Poor taste decor but good taste burgers”

The venue is dated and dusty, and its electic decor misses the mark and just looks bad not interesting. Snakes preserved in large jars, wall plaques that may have been brass and now just look tacky and dirty, dusty paper backs in a floor bin for sale and random lighting styles on the ceiling. There wasn’t a lot of customers on our arrival- four tables- and we ordered a burger, coffee and scones. The burger took an hour to arrive at our table, suggesting that the kitchen must have the smallest commercial grill in the land. However the burger patty was flavoursome, but the salad just slid out of the bun leaving beetroot and tomato slices unable to be contained in the burger.

A very iconic place to visit if you go to Springbrook. Food a bit slow and cosy but hey it is in the mountain so it is reasonable. Will comeback!!

Stopped in after a bush walk around natural bridge. The food we ordered was delicious, works burger was true to its name. The view from the balcony could have been better with a bit of tree trimming but the cafe itself is a bit tired. Up for sale atm so new owners might be good for it.

stopped in on the way back from the Natural Bridge... ordered sausage rolls and devonshire cream... sausage rolls were soft after being warmed up in microwave, cream on devonshire tea was frothy whip... very ordinary
