So just to start i am not fussy or a complainer. I am being generous giving 3 stars for this hotel.

Reception - Was OK not overly friendly, although Adam and the younger female receptionist were very pleasant.

Deposit - When checking in we were given a sheet of paper explaining everything about dinner etc. On this it states you can use the safe (daily charge) and remote control for a 20 euro deposit. We didn't as the TV can be turned over and manually used via the button on the TV itself. We did however use this to play mini golf within the hotel garden.

Room - Basic, needs upgrading. Fine for what we needed it for. Smell of sewage every time either of us had a shower and Toilet flusher was broken when we checked it (was fixed after 2 days). Handy having a fridge etc in the apartment. Balcony faced the back which had a lovely wasteland view but did get the sun most of the day which we liked.

Swimming Area - Plenty of sun bed available, we only used the pool the first 2 days as we noticed that the pool was dirty/scummy around the small area (assume used to be kids section previously) so this kind of put us off.

Entertainment - We didn't go to any of the activities or entertainment nights. Bingo seems to be on alot we had a look in and it was very quiet, only around 3 people so didn't bother.

Food - was average at best, a few things were OK but not particularly great. We were half board but if we had the choice especially after seeing what that were charging if you paid for dinner while there we would have went self catering.

Breakfast was the same most mornings. Dinner was not great, not a lot of choice and on the one occasion there was something on the menu i liked by the time we went for dinner there wasn't any left and was replaced by something else (this wasn't late into service, still had over an hour of service left so wasn't like we had left it really late.)

Service at dinner/breakfast however was shocking, on a number of occasions we turned up for breakfast or dinner and our room number was already marked off. The last instance the waitress just looked at me blankly and shrugged her shoulders. This could be easily rectified by asking guests to show their room keys when they enter.

There is not alot of staff on during dinner, usually around 3 members but i do feel they could be more attentive. On occasions we noticed one member of staff talking to guests for long periods of time when people were waiting to be served or tables cleaned/cutlery replaced.

Getting a drink with dinner was a chore, the staff do not make eye contact and walk past you constantly. Cutlery was an issue at dinner more than once when we went to get a spoon or clean fork there was none left and when i asked i was told 'a minute, hun' then was never approached again. Twice we left our deserts due to this. We ate out on 2 occasions.

Location - The location of this hotel is a bit out the way but we were happy with this as we enjoy a walk and would walk to the beach or town every day and night. We enjoyed the sports bar next door and would highly recommend el patio in the square for food.

Overall we did enjoy our holiday but would not choose to stay at this hotel again. Everything just seemed average.

On the plus side i will say that the cleaning staff were excellent and very friendly. Rooms were clean and cleaned regularly.

Room Tip: 312 - we had the sun every afternoon from 2 til 7

Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, clean basic apartment with fridge, cooking rings, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and all basic utensils. Clean linen and towels. Bonus of own sun beds in some apartments but pool area has plenty. No towels out and then leaving them empty all day. Supermarket five mins walk, Pablos Square ten minutes near main beach area with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Quiet complex with some evening entertainment if you want it.

We stayed here having booked in the British airways sale and my expectations weren’t high as the price we had paid was very low. How wrong I was. We stayed in the main area where I’m guessing the apartments haven’t been updated to the level I’ve seen in serenity reviews. That being said we had everything we needed. 2 beds (both good size doubles with wardrobes). 2 balconies - one had a table and chairs and the other 2 sun beds if you didn’t fancy the pool. Well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. Well stocked crockery and utensils. Tv had bbc1,2,3 & itv ! All free. We had breakfast included and the buffet style had a very wide selection and is open 8-11 am so no queues or delays. Plenty of beds around the pool and friendly staff. It’s just 10-15 min stroll into the main part of town. We hired a car and could park for free outside the hotel.
It is quiet but in a good way - ideal for a relaxing break.
Would definitely go again.

Stayed for 4 nights, will stay longer next time, stayed in the Serenity area of the hotel and found it to be a totally relaxing experience. There was some entertainment provided in the main part of the hotel but we didn't really try it out neither did we try the restaurant so cannot comment on that either

My husband and I have recently returned from a few days stay at this hotel. I would recommend it. It’s in a nice and quiet part of town but close enough to walk to the main bit. The clientele were mostly elderly but it was nice and quiet because of that. Rooms are basic. The food is average. Staff were fairly pleasant. No trouble getting a sun bed. No complaints, but nothing outstandingly amazing either. I would stay here again though and recommend it for people looking for a peaceful getaway.
