Thalassa Boutique Hotel
Ranked #16 of 26 Hotels in Platys Gialos
Reviewed 12 October 2017 via mobile

The hotel was renovated not long ago, and it was done with good taste.

Rooms are quite big and comfortable. The sea view is marvelous.

The pool, although small (and cold sometimes), is a nice addition.

The staff is very friendly.

We can use the sunbeds on the beach, and towels are provided (and exchanged as much as you want).

Breakfast doesn't have much variety, but coffee is good. The restaurant is small and gets crowded.

Platis Yialos is a quiet beach (compare to others nearby) and at night you can get some rest.

Transfer to and from the airport is provided.

Thalassa is incredible on its own--great rooms, beautiful pool, nice breakfast by the ocean. 5-star accommodations, no doubt. Then, you realize you're in front of a pristine beach, with water so clear, you can see the (nearly translucent) fish swim between your feet. Daybeds? Yea, those are included with your stay. Oh, you say you also want to party? Well you're walking distance to Nammos (make a rez here around 3:30 and stay for the party) and Scorpios (make a rez here around 5 to catch the sunset and stay for the party). Want to head into town? The bus stop is just down the beach and costs a few dollars each way. Stay Here!!

Room Tip: The higher up, the better the view. But they're pretty much all great.

We stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed it. It was a real treat to wake up everyday and enjoy breakfast close to the ocean. Service was very slow and often times they would run out of certain food items if you wouldn't get there "early' enough. The rooms were nice, salted water pool had a fantastic view!! Overall a super nice stay.

I have stayed in Mykonos for the past 6 years and have tried many hotels in both the town and on Platis. This hotel was absolutely beautiful and the best I have stayed at in Mykonos. Perfect location on Platis right at the end of the beach where there is a nice amount of space between sunbeds unlike the rest of the beach. Beautiful large and modern rooms with good storage space. Lovely comfortable beds with thin duvets as opposed to sheets and blankets you get in other hotels. Swimming pool stunning with beautiful views of the beach. Overall a highly enjoyable stay.

One of the cleanest and BEST hotels I've ever stayed at.

The hotel itself isn't that big however it has everything you need!

- amazing infinity pool
- private beach section
- chill out section, with massive cushions and a hammock
- toilets, showers and change rooms for the pool
- our room itself was very spacious and had lots of cupboard space (we got a two bedroom suit)
- the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on
- clean room/bathroom
- lovely staff

Definitely retuning here!
Job well done Thalassa
