We were very pleased with the hotel, and the resort, which was very suitable for us, as we like small and friendly, unpretentious places, not too noisy, but with a bit of life to them, and not far from larger towns to visit. The hotel is just across the road from an attractive beach, with lighthouse views. It is close to the shops, some good restaurants, and the bus and mini-train stops, which were really handy for us, going to Mahon and Binibeca (which we walked to one way). There are not really any bars separate from restaurants nearby, which would have been nice, but the hotel bar was better than many. There was free parking (though we didn't use it). The hotel facilities are good, with nice pool, attractive planting, mini-golf, large seating areas, plenty of room when we were there. It was quiet, and clean. Staff are cheerful, the bar is unassuming and friendly, and very reasonably priced. Very large bottles of water were available for just 1.50 euro. The rooms are well cleaned and the shower and air con worked well, though one gripe was that there was a bit of a damp smell from the drawers in the wardrobe (which was less bad as the room got aired), and no soap for the basin. We didn't try the wifi as it is open. TV worked but only local channels. There was a handy safe, though there is a small charge. It is not 5 star luxury, but doesn't pretend to be. However, there are a few things that would have been nice to nice to have, and we would have paid a bit more for - in particular a fridge in the room, and a bit more space. We knew there would be no kettle as that is standard in Spain. But a small fridge would have been great for keeping the milk for our tea, and the odd drink. And the food could have been better, with more fresh type ingredients and variety. It was pretty good for 3 star compared to some places we have been to, and what we paid, but still a bit disappointing in terms of quality of some of the dishes on some days, and particularly the lack of decent vegetarian options (there would have been very little for vegans). I am vegetarian and had a good meal one evening, and the soup and puddings were all great, with water melon regularly on offer. But I found the breakfast and most main courses disappointing eg one veggie main course was a small bit of burnt pizza, while meat eaters had a large range of dishes that day. It would be great to have had nuts, fresh vegetables, and things like hummus. Also for evening meals we don't always want a buffet. We were half board but only because that was included in the Jet2 price, and we ate out one evening anyway for a change (the beach restaurant opposite was excellent, though we didn't expect it to be). But if you do like half board and a buffet and are not vegetarian it was amazing value for money, and served in a fairly attractive area (with sea views, and a choice of indoors with aircon or the terrace). One final very minor thing for the management benefit - we played the mini-golf and enjoyed that, but there were a lot of bird droppings on the course, which could be cleaned off more often!

This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. For various reasons (including Covid, of course!) we hadn't been for six years but the staff recognised us and greeted us like long lost friends. Ferran, Rosanna, Moncha and Charlie have worked here for years and they are all really quite amazing. They work so hard running the dining room and bar area. They are always so friendly and speak several languages. The people on reception are also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff make you feel as though you are a member of the family rather than a guest. The resort of Punta Prima is small and quiet and definitely the place to be if you want a relaxing, away from it all holiday. We will definitely be back.
Thank you to everyone for making our holiday perfect.

This was my second stay at this hotel - my husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in September 2021. The hotel was quieter than normal and when I’d visited previously there had been some evening entertainment, but I understand due to Covid this has been cancelled for now. The resort is also fairly quiet so not suited to those wanting a bit more going on. However, perfect for those looking to get away from it all and completely unwind.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and the way they all switched between languages for the different guests was excellent. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, we were so impressed by this. Food was basic but nice. The pool area was beautiful - lots of trees and greenery, plus never an issue getting a sunbed.
The beach is opposite the hotel, we were in room 805 which had a view of the sea and was lovely. There are also a few restaurants along the main road by the beach, along with shops. There’s a car hire rental place just round the corner (worth pre-booking online for this (Vall’s Rentals)) as a couple we met were told they had to go every morning at 9am to see if a car was available! The hotel has some parking out the front but if that’s full, there’s a huge free public car park just next door. The bus stop is also next to the hotel, with regular buses into Mahon, from where you can get buses across the island.
The room had a hair dryer in the bathroom and air con which was much needed. There was a safe but it was chargeable, as was a room fridge. In the grounds there was crazy golf, table tennis (both free) and pool (€1 per game).
There’s a watchtower just behind the hotel (about 5min walk) and it’s a fantastic spot to watch the sunset.
We loved our stay here and this won’t be the last time we visit.

An excellent hotel. Not too big, not too small, perfect for exploring the island. Very close to the beach (1min). Food of a high standard, local dishes were also available. Quite a large pool with always free sunbeds. Very friendly service. Next to the hotel, there is a bus stop that will take you to the larger towns on the island. I recommend :)

Room tip: Few parking spaces next to the hotel, large public car park very close by. I recommend air conditioning in august
