To start up the place were quite nice easy access to the bus as previously mentions on some reviews.lts a must to have a tour at corfu old town less than an hour travel via bus.Visit the old fortress and wasnt bad for an adult entrance fee of€6 and my 2 teenage girls gone for free.lf you gonna stay for some nights be sure dont miss the monday night Greek Night which is a nice entairtainment and a nice variety of Greek food on buffet of course you need to pay for this which is €15per head which l think wasnt bad for eat all you can greek buffet and the very lively entertainment by greek dancers.lt was mention it was a bay which i dont expect its gonna be as clear water like some beaches i been, anyway its just place to relax and had valuable time with my family. The pool water at this time wasnt brill but i still take a dip even i was the only one swimming on it,i think the heavy rain on and some thunder storm had change drastically the climate when we here. The sun always been out which is nice.l do alot of cooking for some days we spend in here there are some butcher shop and fish mongers to choose at
and vegie shop which i found favourable.l found people are friendly in and out of the compound.

Ask for quiet room for put near the road. So noisy. Breakfast nothing like the picture advertising it. Dogs roaming the grounds popping everywhere. Pool dirty had to keep asking to clean out flies. Sunbed do not have cushions so uncomfortable. Food at pool bar not good at all plus you got cats jumping on the table trying to eat your good. All in all very bad

stayed in this apartment with my wife and two kids in August 2017. Good staff and well laid out apartments. The swimming pool was good and the parking lot was ample. The rooms are a bit aged and need some renovation. Some of the young guests in the other apartments could be noisy though. it provided the accommodation we needed nothing more. the TV has no English chanel, the internet in the room does not work despite paying for data. Its ok if you are on a budget.

We have just stayed here for 7 nights. The apartments are basic but very clean. I would have preferred a toaster to the coffee maker. The maids were friendly, even doing some of our washing up one day. Nice touch having a sponge, cloth, towel and washing up liquid. We also had some toiletries. Towels and bedding were changed regularly, we even had the floor mopped. We were very lucky to have the pool to ourselves, although it is freezing! You do get used to it after the initial shock, my children spent 5 hours in there one day. We were situated just behind reception which was good as my children could connect to the wifi for free, however there is more noise from the bar here. The was also a very noisy parrot in a room in the block next to us, waking us up early. Very annoying when you are trying to relax.

My husband & I stayed here for a week. After deliberating over lots of accommodation with huge differences in prices, we decided Govino Bay reviews were clean and basic and we planned to go out and about most of the time so opted for saving on the accommodation and spending on eating out. We were not disappointed. The apartment is pretty basic, but has microwave with a grill (not terribly efficient....tried toast one morning), 2 ring hotplate, kettle, fridge and coffee maker...we would have probably preferred a toaster to the coffee maker....but individual preference. Sheets were clean but a mattress protector would have been nice. Maid service every day apart from Sunday, but does not do washing or drying up. Towels changed daily if required. Could have done with a tea towel in kitchenette. Bathroom with bath and shower and few complimentary toiletries...water pressure and amount of hot water was excellent.

We didn't use the pool, pool bar or beach so cannot comment on those facilities. Similarly we didn't eat in the on site restaurant as lots to choose from in Gouvia.

Worst bit was we were far back at complex, so had to walk all the way down to reception to get out and then double back all the way up a two way slip road street (take life in your hands) passing smelly bins, which made you have to walk further out into the road and no drivers ever pipped their horn! This was adjacent to the main dual carriageway road into Corfu town, so couldn't hear traffic coming up behind you. Could have done with a cut through from the complex into the Gouvia town road.

We went on a few trips, lots of competition on prices if you go into Gouvia village, we always compared with the reception at Govino Bay, who were always slightly more expensive. They said you got picked up from the reception probably for the extra...but in fact all the outside trips did in fact collect you from the bus stop directly opposite the reception. If going into Corfu town on the blue bus which runs every 20 mins, buy ticket at shop or bus station which is cheaper than on the bus...and be prepared to be a sardine and just get off at the end of the line as no information given at the stops!

Room Tip: Ground floors have a terrace to sit out on.
