A very calm temple, neat and clean and located at the most pretty point over seeing the nainital lake.If you go in the evening then better as you enjoy the beautiful lighting in the temple and capture great pictures of the lake and mountains before sunset. The temple is very clean and organised and there are no touts to cheat.

This temple gives the city its name: Nainital. There are 5 temples in the temple complex dedicated to different gods and godesses with Naina Devi temple in the centre. A truly spiritual place.

As History says, this temple was on the top of the hill, but a landslide brought it down and it was reconstructed at this place.

The temple is situated adjacent to Naini lake on flat ground and is easily accessible by all. Although worshippers visit it for worship purpose, It is worth visiting by tourists also.It provides a serene view of lake. Entry is free and best time to visit it either early morning or evenings. There is ample parking space near the temple.

A beautiful temple at the lake side. As it is very near to the central parking place of Nainital, after parking the car, it may the first place to see. Approach to the temple much cleaner than usual temple sites in India. Puja thalican be bought from the shops adjacent to the temple. One can offer the puja without any hindrance from the pandas.
