We are a Spanish family of 4 who spent two nights at Rigneys. We were looking for a quiet place where we could experience the life in a farm. The experience was great for all the family thanks to Caroline and Joe who made it possible. Breakfast is prepared with products produced in the farm in a sustainable way. You can tell because you can feed the animals and see how they live. We had a great time with Joe going around the farm. Very nice guy !! They built the business from scratch which deserves a lot of credit in my view. Plenty of things to do in the surroundings.

Just home from a totally relaxing fun weekend with our 5 and 7 year old at Rigbeys farm, we had such a blast and really got involved with all aspects of the farm from feeding piglets, ducks, geese and poor little Sucky the orphan calf....the food was fantastic and was made with great commitment to the ethos of ethical farming. The farm is practically in the Curraghchase Forest Park and the beautiful village of Adare with its huge historical significance. Don't want to forget the four dogs who were a pleasure to have as company. Great that we could buy some produce from the farm shop to enjoy at home yum.
Caroline and Joe thanks for everything...........we'll be back.....:-)

We stayed at Rigney's Farm for 3 nights. We wanted to stay outside of the city and get a genuine feel for the Irish countryside. We were using a map and got a little off track when the road no longer had names :) but the scenery was worth seeing and we found our way rather easily.

My face lit up when we were welcomed by the dogs… especially Chief :) Caroline was a gracious host, welcoming us with warm Apple Crisp and fresh cream! Yummy! Breakfasts were PLENTIFUL and delicious and held us over for most of the day so we could explore Adare, play golf and enjoy the scenery. We loved talking to Joe too! Willingly, he answered all of or questions as we followed him around the farm while he fed the pigs ;)

We enjoyed our stay at Rigney's and the genuine Irish Hospitality. Thank you Caroline & Joe!

If you are looking for an anti-septic hotel-style experience you probably want to look elsewhere. But if you are interested in something a bit different, I highly recommend it.

The owners are very friendly. My family loved being able to see all the animals fed (lots of pigs and ducks). Breakfast was good (fresh homemade soda bread). There is a lounge you can sit in the evening (I even got a complimentary glass of wine). My son loved bouncing on the trampoline. The owner also took the time to show us how to churn butter.

They have at least 4 dogs and 2 cats that have the run of the farm and one of the dogs is quite boisterous, so not for pet phobics.

Note that local places for dinner are few and far between. You need to drive to Adare if you want some choice.

You'll need to know where you're going to get there, it's off the beaten path, but that is a big part of the appeal and the charm of this gorgeous farmhouse/manor. The Rigneys own and operate the attached organic, free-range farm, and you will enjoy the fruits of their labour each morning at breakfast. Fresh eggs, bacon, even homemade muesli are there for you whenever you're up.

The rooms are very comfortable, well-appointed, and extremely quiet. I haven't slept as well as I did there in quite some time.

Glad I found it, and looking forward to being back next year.

Room Tip: The Oak Room has a lovely four-post bed, large washroom, and loads of space to park one's vacation shopping.
