We stayed at Zephyros villa and it was clean and beautifully presented. It was such a romantic setting, beautiful... The welcome received from Maria and her staff was excellent. The service on the whole was great.

The chef prepared and delivered delicious, well presented meals to our villa - you must try his squid risotto! The food prices were also very reasonable given the taste and presentation. We enjoyed every meal we ordered.

This was an amazing, romantic holiday surrounded by staff who cared about your experience and wanted to ensure that it was great and they definitely achieved that.

It was also a bonus that car rental was included in the price along with transfers to and from the hotel on arrival and department. It just enhanced our overall experience by not having to arrange these separately ourselves.

It was worth every penny! I would highly recommend.

We booked direct with Maria and having never been to Santorini before, we didn't know what to expect. We were going to celebrate my father-in-law's 60th birthday and wanted something special. Well thats' what we certainly got!

We arrived in Santorini late at night (delayed too!) by our driver was waiting to pick us up and swiftly took us to the villa. The villa was amazing with all the candles lit in the courtyard and around the pool - a lovely touch.

The villa (Tramountana) was a great size for five of us, with plenty of outdoor space, pool and jacuzzi and a fabulous view of the sea. Myself and husband had the room with the attic room above where my sister in law slept - absolutely fine for family with kids who could sleep upstairs or for VERY close friends. Maria had made this clear when we booked and it was absolutely fine for us for the week. There is a good kitchen with everything you would need, a BBQ, and a daily maid service.

Breakfast in the morning was fabulous - a great variety of food and fresh new dishes each day as well as cereal, continental bits and pieces, toast (homemade bread), juices, great coffee and much more. You can eat inside or outside and it is peaceful and very pleasant. Great service from Maria and her team. Maria explained all the places she recommended we visit during our stay and told us about some hidden gems. A fab beginning!

During the week (in between sunbathing and reading of course) we visited Oia (AMAZING bookshop called Atlantis Books there), Kamari outdoor cinema (a must visit place!), Caldera View for the sunset, Fira many times and the south tip of the island. Would recommend all - Oia very busy but beautiful.

Fira was a ten minute drive from the villa (car hire came with the villa - if you do this don't forget to take your driving licence and the special code you now need to get from the DVLA!) and had two decent supermarkets plus loads of great shops and bars. Try Franco's for a little peace and quiet in the hubbub! We also walked down to the port (500+ steps!) and got the cable car back up. Worth doing but wear good shoes. I think one of the donkey rides back up the steps would also have been fun so give it a go!

Kamari was lovely for seafront dining, Dolphins near Faros great for fish and romantic setting, and Oia nice for drinks and people watching.

Two nights we are in the restaurant at Anema Residences and we were impressed both times. The second time was for my father in law's birthday and nothing was too much trouble. From the beautifully laid table to the stunning birthday cake and great service, we couldn't have been looked after better. Massive thank you to all involved :)

With only a few hours notice, a birthday cake was also revealed the next day for my sister in law's birthday as a surprise!

A few reviewers have commented that the villas are on the 'other' side of the island which is a negative - it wasn't at all. It is off the beaten track yes, but this adds to the appeal for me. It was quiet, private and almost 'exclusive'! There are no crowds, nobody is overlooking you and the views are still stunning. The location gives you options - go to the touristy places (which are beautiful too) or stay in your little haven.

Having just arrived home from the most wonderful trip to Santorini I felt compelled to write this review (not something I generally take the time to do). First and foremost Maria, her lovely family and all the staff here at Anema are some of the most welcoming, honest people to ever come across. Our friends, my partner and I (along with our two children) were always catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. When initially booking the Villa we knew it would be special, but just how special we were yet to find out. The whole process was stress free with transfers/car hire etc arranged simply for our arrival. Arriving late in to the evening can often be a hassle but the minute we were greeted by our driver there was sudden relief! When we arrived at the residence, Maria's son Christof (apologies for the spelling) greeted us with open arms and lead us to our house - even bringing a bottle of milk for our very sleepy 2 year olds! The house itself cannot be faulted and the hospitality was second to none. Each and every person we met at Anema was a true delight. Special mention (again) to Maria who treat us like family and made us feel like we had a home away from home. Every last detail was beautifully arranged, from organising lunch in the garden on our friends wedding day to sending Champagne the day after. Another special mention to Demetri whose cooking was some of the most wonderful we tasted on the island and his BBQ skills could make any man jealous!
Thank you a thousand times over for the most amazing stay. We would return in a heartbeat!

I'm actually very, very, very late in writing up this review (apologies Maria!). Anema residence in Santorini will forever be my best holiday (May 2014). We decided to take the whole family away with us and have a low-key, stress-free holiday/wedding. It was everything I could have hoped for and more...

Maria and her family were so welcoming and it was an added bonus that Anema residence was simply stunning. All the villas were occupied by our family, each beautifully decorated, modern and spacious. I would definitely recommend a trip to the beautiful town, Oia. The sunsets there are like nothing I've ever witnessed before. We've just celebrated our third wedding anniversary and we're planning on bringing the whole family back again soon!

The Anema Residence is perfect for a fantastic holiday on Santorini. The included car takes away the headache of trying to decide which car rental company to book with, and the pick up and drop off at airport also makes arriving stress free, i.e., no trying to find somewhere in the dark...
Maria and her team go out of their way to make every aspect of your stay perfect. The included breakfast is lovely and plentiful. They make a new cake every day and the carrot cake is exquisite. We stayed in Sorokos villa which was perfect. Dimitri the onsite chef without fail produces gorgeous food and made us some beautiful meals during our stay. Our time here went much to quickly and Santorini and the Anema is the perfect place for a great holiday.
