A larger, older house that has been converted into accommodation. It is rather quaint and more like a guesthouse or home stay than a boutique hotel. The ambience was quite good and location reasonably central.
The room was comfortable enough although some fixtures will need replacing sooner rather than later. The Wifi speeds are quite good
The included breakfast was good although more suited to Asian tastes than most Western palates.
Unfortunately the owner/manager was away at the time of my stay and the staff left to manage the hotel were not particularly helpful and this seemed to be more related to their attitude than any language difficulties.
When contacted, the manager attempted to rectify the issues and this effort was greatly appreciated. Free transport to the bus station was provided and this was a very nice gesture.
There are bicycles available for guests to use although the ones we were originally offered were poorly maintained and one was unsafe to ride. The young male employee was helpful in arranging newer bicycles.
In mid February 2017 there was a large, multi-storey building under construction next door but works stops at 1700 hrs and doesn't start again until 0900 hrsMore
