Just come back from a great week spent at the Jardin Tropical, the overall standard and service was good. A few minor gripes, the complimentary shower room on departure was very poor and the Canaries.com car hire service at he hotel is very misleading and I would advise that you deal with the hotel direct. Having said that I would highly recommend.

We stayed for a week's holiday over Easter and had a marvellous time at the jardin tropical. A great hotel in a superb location, ideally located for walks along the coast and a wide selection of good restaurants close by. We stayed on a B&B basis - great breakfast selection. We will definitely be back!

Fairly expensive hotel with average rooms. Good pool , but usual problem with sunbeds and towels, the clients are to blame.Good buffet breakfast. Was there for 5 nights, just ok, and would not return.

Room Tip: Already expensive, but probably worth paying for an upgraded room

We stayed in the hotel for four nights . Live music in the hotel bar was good entertainment along with a large pool and sunbathing area.
We found the reception and waiting staff to be rather unhelpfull. on arrival at 10am we were told that the room would not be ready until 1pm which i could understand. when asked for a safe area to store our luggage we were pointed towards a self service 'store room' located next to the main entrance to place our baggage. this area was open access where guests stored golf clubs etc. i expressed concern snd after a few moans and groans from the receptionist i was able to deposit two of our three bags behind the counter.
We decide to have dinner on our first night in the main hotel restaurant. Once was enough. The seafood paella was almost as cold as the whines and grumbles from our waitress for the evening which i decided against having to deal with on a second occasion.
In comparrison with other hotels in the erea (there are many within a 5 min cab journey) i feel we did not get value for money as in the other hotels the service would have been much better and with a smile.
On the first day after gaining access to our room around 3pm and having a shower, my fiance and i were having a rest. The do not disturb sign was on the door. A member of staff opened the door and shouted was anybody in the room? I quickly closed the door in his face for an answer and requested we were not disturbed. no more than ten minutes later more knocks and bangs were heard at the door which we found most annoying although no attempt was made to open the door. the following morning when we were leaving our room to use the pool area a member of staff was outside our door asking had the mimi-bar been used. I advised it had not and requested that he need not enter the room. This was possibly the suspect door basher from the previous afternoon.
I all a nice building in a good location but some of the staff did not seem suited to the tourism and catering industry. will not be staying again.
