The closest environment to Mykonos Town and its whitewashed streets is probably Lindos in Rhodes but Mykonos betters it...it is so well kept, feels pristine and as much as it can be stifling in the streets, there are plenty of opportunities for refreshments on your wandering the the maze.

The primary street of Matayianni is impressive with its selection of designer brand names that you're probably not expecting to find there. That said, don't expect to grab any bargains, prices are buoyant to say the least. There is a small amount of haggling to be done with the jewellers in particular though.

Ultimately, this review is more about the town in general which is something that simply can't be missed, there is a new street, shop, gallery, eating place on every turn and providing you've brought your wallet/purse or have the restraint to keep your hand in your pocket you'll be fine!

I loved the galleries and the hand made artists. But that was all. Lots of designers, very expensive shops.
Big minus: there is no public toilet down the streets in Mykonos.

Interesting to walk the labyrinth-like maze of tiny streets, many so busy you are 'shoulder to shoulder', with tons of overpriced shops and restaurants. It's visually unique so interesting to experience, but this is not the shopper's paradise it has made out to be, unless you like paying too much or want souvenirs.

A must see, unique downtown in Greece, full of vibe and energy. All great brand stores and nice beautiful people around..
If come to Mykonos cannot skip..

A pleasure to walk on this narrow and cozy street, full of shops, bars, restaurants ... and cats :) ... the evening is pretty crowded
